Pojawila sie nowa technika czytania – social reading online. Najobszerniejszą pracą na ten temat i jednocześnie publikacją, ktorej analizie poświecony zostal niniejszy artykul jest ksiązka Social Reading: Platforms, Applications, Clouds and Tags z 2013 r. To efekt prac podjetych przez czteroosobowy zespol badaczy z hiszpanskiego Uniwersytetu w Salamance, w ktorego sklad weszli: Jose-Antonio Cordon-Garcia, Julio Alonso-Arevalo, Raquel Gomez-Diaz i Daniel Linder. Definiują oni social reading jako „czytanie w środowisku wirtualnym, gdzie ksiązka i czytanie sprzyjają formowaniu sie spoleczności i miejsca wymiany”. Ksiązka ta nie ukazala sie w jezyku polskim. Kosik","doi":"10.12775/TSB.2017.025","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12775/TSB.2017.025","url":null,"abstract":"Internet offers new opportunities of communication and integration for book lovers – giving them the possibility to create a community focused on their main passion – reading. The article characterizes a specific type of these communities – Facebook groups about books. The definition of social media and e-communities was presented. Facebook web site was described and characterized. It was noted that the Internet, and therefore Facebook, is a place where lovers of the written word have the ability to communicate between themselves and to integrate. Then, the article presents one of the ways of communication among book lovers on Facebook – book groups. Based on the analysis of 47 groups, the article try to present its structure (size, access and activity of participants) and study the information published by their members. It was pointed out which of these information is most relevant to their participants. The members of the book groups were characterized as well, based on the surveys  conducted between them. The visual methods and techniques may relate both to the graphical presentation of the data requiring interpretation and to the results of the analyzes. The selection of appropriate graphic solutions heavily depends on the intended purpose of the presentation of data, particularly educational, scientific or artistic ones. For educational purposes, the illustrations as well as the spatial and interactive visualizations are the most commonly used. Within the scientific research the visualization of information is of particular importance in the case of the graphic representation of the large collections of old books. The projects of the Bibliotheque virtuelle du Mont Saint-Michel, the 15cBOOKTRADE and The Atlas of Early Printing are discussed in the paper. However, switching to a useless or faulty portal system or adopting impractical concepts can have serious consequences. The example is the open source Liferay Portal system, which was implemented at the University Library in Torun in 2013. In this case, after three years of use, migration was required to a newer, error-free version. Accordingly, the authors discussed the migration of the community version of Liferay Portal 6.0.2 to a stable and mature release of 6.2.5. This article attempts to organize the work that was done during the migration work, as well as to indicate the number of problems that have been resolved. The intent of this article is also to highlight the opportunities offered by the Liferay Portal platform for building a library intranet.
