It is because the amount of inventory will determine or affect the smoothness of the production process as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. PT Semen Padang is a manufacturing company that produces 10,400,000 tons of cement per year. The achievement of the cement production target at this company depends on the availability of raw materials needed in the cement production process itself. Gypsum is an additional material of the cement production process which is very important because it is a raw material that must exist in the process of making cement. So, if the inventory of gypsum cannot meet the needs of production, then the production process of cement making will be disrupted. PT Semen Padang is using the Min-Max method for inventory control. But the costs are quite high. The cost of inventory can be minimized by using another method such as EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). The conclusions of this research are in 2016 by using EOQ method, the optimal order quantity is 32,073 ton per order, and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 4,757,673,813.48, and in 2017, the optimal order quantity is 34,856 tons per order and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 9,694,805,608.36.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42067649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One problem with scheduling is the tardiness. Total tardiness is the performance to minimize tardiness jobs. it is the right performance if there is a due date. This study proposes the Cross-Entropy Genetic Algorithm (CEGA) method to minimize the mean tardiness in the flow shop problem. In some literature, the CEGA algorithm is used in the case of minimizing the makespan. However, CEGA not used in the case of minimizing total tardiness. CEGA algorithm is a combination of the Cross-Entropy Algorithm which has a function to provide optimal sampling distribution and Genetic Algorithms that have functions to get new solutions. In some numeric experiments, the proposed algorithm provides better performance than some algorithms. For computing time, it is affected by the number of iterations. The higher the iteration, computing requires high time.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41660516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article reviews the development and modification of the Markowitz’s mean-variance model, especially that dealing with real stock-market features, which could help the investor to create their own portfolio. There were several real-stock market features that implemented in the modification of mean-variance portfolios optimization models, such as the minimum transaction lots, the transaction cost, the cardinality constraint, the weight constraint, and the sectoral constraint. To implement these features, several heuristic methods were used to obtain the optimal portfolio weight, such as genetic algorithm, Tabu search, bee colony algorithm, particle swarm algorithm, and simulated annealing. These methods become alternative to the mathematical programming method.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43666073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These research discussions were carried out in the context of predicted technological developments related to Industry 4.0 which caused the loss of several jobs and formed new business models that will provide new jobs. The method used is to using system approach so that mathematical modeling can be obtained from Influence Diagrams which have been designed in previous research. Mathematical models illustrate that openness to technology is directly proportional to the number of unemployed. And the unemployment rate is inversely proportional to the level of human resource development. Development of human resources that are too large without being carried out with openness and technological progress, can also cause unemployment. This mathematical model can be used as a decision maker to understand and establish appropriate policies in the face of this Industry 4.0 change.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42837068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speech disorders are also experienced by people with intellectual disabilities, who need speech therapy to practice their expressive speech skills. However, the current types of speech therapy, in general, are not easily accessible and require considerable cost. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to provide a speech therapy tool that can be accessed easily and requires low cost. This research designs a mobile application as a speech therapy tool for teenagers with mild intellectual disability. The design process began with the identification of user needs, followed by the design of application concepts using a design workshop. The best concept was developed into a prototype, which was then evaluated through a usability testing, using effectiveness, efficiency, learnability, memorability, and accessibility as the evaluation criteria. Based on the evaluation, the effectiveness of the application is 82.2% and its efficiency is 78.9%. Meanwhile, the learnability and memorability of the application consecutively score 80% and 94.4%. These results show that the application has a good level of accessibility. Evaluation was also conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, which resulted in a total score of 74 (acceptable). In addition, interviews were conducted to identify remaining flaws that were subsequently used as a basis for design improvement of the application.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44834115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inefficiencies are caused because construction projects have high levels of fragmentation. The high level of fragmentation cannot be separated from the complexity and many work items on construction projects. To reduce the problem of inefficiencies in the implementation of construction projects required good supply chain management or better known as supply chain management (SCM) on construction projects. Therefore it is necessary to study the management of SCM in the construction project to reduce the inefficiency that occurred. SCM management of construction projects is done by designing SCM performance measurement systems in construction projects. This performance measurement system produces indicators that are combined with the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method. So it helps in performing SCM performance measurement on construction projects. From the design results, obtained 14 SCM performance indicators on construction projects. The performance indicators are then used to perform SCM performance measurement of cement plant construction projects. From the measurement results obtained SCM performance value of 41 from a scale of 100. This shows the performance of SCM on construction projects for the construction of the cement plant is at a marginal level.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44653418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is necessary to design a model of supply chain biomass network for the distribution of Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) from CPO factory suppliers located in West Sumatra and distributed to Depot Pertamina Teluk Kabung. Stages performed in the implementation of this study began with a preliminary study to determine the potential of biomass in West Sumatra. Furthermore, the design of chain supply chain optimization model by identifying supply chain activity, knowing the characteristics of supply chain system and make the formulation of mathematical model. The design of supply chain biomass from Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) in West Sumatera, starting from raw material Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) sourced from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) factory in West Pasaman Regency and surrounding. Currently, the recognition of basic emotions is applied using the automatic facial expression analysis software. In fact, not all emotions are performed with the same expressions. This study aims to analyze whether the six basic human emotions can be recognized by software. Ten subjects were asked to spontaneously show the expressions of the six basic emotions sequentially. Subjects are not given instructions on how the standard expressions of each of the basic emotions are. The results show that only happy expressions can be consistently identified clearly by the software, while sad expressions are almost unrecognizable. On the other hand surprise expressions tend to be recognized as mixed emotions of surprise and happy. There are two emotions that are difficult to express by the subject, namely fear and anger. The subject interpretation of these two emotions varies widely and tends to be unrecognizable by software. The conclusion of this study is the way a person shows his emotions varies. Although there are some similarities in expression, it cannot be proven that all expressions of basic human emotions can be generalized. Further implication of this research needs further discussion.","PeriodicalId":30702,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Optimasi Sistem Industri","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45964253","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
