These splitters are used when more than one receiver has to be connected to one signal source, like an antenna, a signal distribution socket or a test signal generator. The advantage of the solution is realization by a PCB structure, without need of any expensive or hard to find special components. The splitter is also integrated with a transformation from 75 Ω to 50 Ω. Then cheaper 75 Ω cable can be used for the signal distribution system. Final results from the splitter testing are also included in the paper.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133259511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So the concurrent use of different input sources is inevitable to provide a constant load. The use of a Multi-Input Converters (MICs) instead of several separate converters can reduce the number of passive elements. Also it can save the cost and reduce the weight and the volume of the converter. In this paper, a Zero Voltage Transition (ZVT) dual input boost converter is proposed. In addition to the mentioned advantages for the multi-input converters, in the proposed converter only one auxiliary circuit is used for providing soft switching condition for all semiconductor elements and increasing the efficiency. The proposed converter theoretically is analyzed. Then, in order to show the validity of theoretical analysis, it is simulated by ORCAD. The simulation results confirmed the theoretical analysis. The efficiency comparison shows one percent improvement in comparison with hard switching counterpart.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125375328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Navigation of the platform has to be very precise to keep the path of the platform as narrow as possible and to maintain the distance between the subject and the platform to capture the gait pattern in the most natural way. A key component of the whole robotic platform is an MS Kinect v2 device which tracks the patients' gait. Kinect also provides the information about the distance between the robot and the patient to a microcontroller which is responsible for the wheels' control. To obtain straight trajectory, there is a camera pointing forwards on the front of the robot and a set of two beacons at the end of the operation area to be tracked by the camera. All data obtained from the camera, Kinect and encoders (attached to each wheel) are used during an offline reconstruction of the patients' gait. To process and save the data form Kinect, camera and other controllers in real-time a special multithread application was developed.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115180092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Whereas IT-networks together with their security features in the office domain are subject of a dynamic change, networks in the industrial environment have a long operational time and therefore are more vulnerable to unauthorized access due to outdated hard- and software components. IT-threats such as Stuxnet are targeted to these areas and in the case of a failure of, e.g., a critical infrastructure this can directly harm the public security. Hence, in this paper a concept of an embedded plug-in device is proposed that secures the authentication and integrity of communication flows between two communicating network parties. A key focus of the development is the message authentication mechanism without neglecting the safety aspect imperative for industrial networks.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122313532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The principles of creating a simulation model and preparing a prototype of electronic measurement device, are described. The experiments are presented and the results are compared concerning the change of channel resistance of the field effect transistor and change of real part of impedance of trunk, caused by breathing. The problems of high frequency capacitive measurements and the impact on the design of electronic measurement device are discussed. The results are showing the possibility of using a field effect transistor for imitating breathing. This is a most suitable way of simulation because of the relatively high operating frequency of impedance measurement device needed in the case of using the capacitive electrodes.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116203153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the frequency of the local oscillator is kept constant and hopping is achieved in the baseband, the time required for the frequency jump is independent of the frequency step, allowing a narrow loop bandwidth and low noise performance for conventional phase locked loops (PLLs). Moreover the spurious signals resulting from the modulator is around -70 dBc, which is a lower value when compared to spurious signal performance of commercially available direct digital synthesis (DDS) integrated circuits. We have analyzed the error vector magnitude (EVM) and frequency hopping speed on a practical setup and have shown that quite satisfactory results can be obtained with the proposed scheme.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125151582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system has been developed for a teaching aid where a mobile robot operates in a maze. The mobile robot is navigated by a high level control system where path-planning is executed; however, autonomous execution of the plan is required from the robot. The robot uses magnetic landmarks, among others, for its localization. Detection of the landmarks is realized by a triple axis magnetometer sensor. The landmarks are made from a commercially available magnetic sheet. Construction of the sheets limits this approach. A successful application has to meet some requirements which are described in this paper.","PeriodicalId":306881,"journal":{"name":"2016 International Conference on Applied Electronics (AE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122169242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
