The μ negative (MNG) and ε negative (ENG) transmission lines (TLs) are artificial TLs which have been introduced recently. These transmission lines are simpler than the composite right/left handed (CRLH) TL while, similar to CRLH TL, they can be used as zeroth order resonators. MNG ZOR antenna has been previously introduced based on an interdigital structure which is fed by a microstrip line in parallel with the antenna. The MNG ZOR antenna presented in this paper is based on the MIM structure which has some advantages over the interdigital structure. In addition, we use a coaxial feed and a specific matching mechanism which, in comparison with the previous work, leads to the more compact antenna and also lowers the cross-polarization level.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126010052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ontology matching is a technology that enables semantic interoperability between structurally and semantically heterogeneous resources on the Web. Despite serious research efforts on ontology matching, matchers still suffers from severe problems with respect to the quality of matching results. Furthermore, Most of them take a lot of time for finding the correspondences. The aim of this paper is improving ontology matching results by adding the preprocessing phase for analyzing the input ontologies. This phase is added in order to solve problems caused by ontology diversity. We select one of the best matchers of Ontology Alignment Evaluation Initiative (OAEI) which is Automated Semantic Matching of Ontologies with Verification, called ASMOV. In preprocessing phase, some new patterns of ontologies are detected and then refactoring operations are used for reaching assimilated ontologies. Afterward, we applied ASMOV for testing our approach on both the original ontologies and their refactored counterparts. Experimental results show that these refactored ontologies are more efficient than the original unrepaired ones with respect to the standard evaluation measures i.e. Precision, Recall, and F-Measure.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127676118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two similar C-shaped patterned ground structures are designed and their dimensions are adjusted to obtain band rejection frequency response at 2.4 GHz and 6.7 GHz. Then, two DGSs structure are cascaded in series to obtain a high Q-factor dual-band rejection property. The distance between two DGSs is adjusted for an acceptable response. All structures are numerically investigated using HFSS and the dual band filter is designed and implemented. Results show that there are two parallel resonance frequencies at 2.468 GHz and 6.629 GHz with a very high Q-factor, while signal attenuation at the resonant frequencies is at least 20 dB. Also, the equivalent circuit of the proposed filter including two parallel resonance RLC circuit based on measured S-parameters is presented. The new introduced DGS filter is successfully designed and fabricated and the measured results are in a good agreement with those obtained by numerical investigation.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116339931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed beamforming algorithms are developed based on non-cooperative and cooperative utility functions. In non-cooperative approach, utility function of each user is defined based on the performance of the user without considering the impact of the user's action on the others. However in cooperative approach, in addition to the performance of the user, the impact of user's action on the other users is considered in the user's utility function. Two iterative algorithms are derived by maximizing the utility function of the user in order to estimate transmitter and receiver beamforming vectors. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated by computer simulations and compared with that of the duality method-based minimum mean square error (DM-MMSE) beamforming algorithm. Simulation results show the superiority of our proposed cooperative beamforming algorithm regarding the bit error rate (BER) performance and convergence rate.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127537912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we propose a fair active queue management (AQM) mechanism based on a well-known economic model called supply and demand. AQM is an effective router-based approach for avoiding congestion. The proposed framework not only provides properly a fair resource allocation for different flows but also overcomes several shortcomings of previous AQM mechanisms. The advantages of proposed method were also confirmed by the experimental results.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126611767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Routing in throughways has a significant role in optimal transmission of informational packet transportation. OSPF is one of the optimal routing protocols in compare with its counterpars, RIP. It seems that routing is not enough to express the real state of the link just by a criterion. There is usually a concern about informational packages accuracy of the state advertisement. Exactness of the foregoing information is predetermined to update the network state by the time interval. So it is probable some inaccurate information enter routing process due to the absence of mentioned parameter frequency registration. [1]. So it is more practical to let another parameter other than that mono-criterion cooperates in expressing the link state not to emerge a problem of demonstrative/expressive information exactness of the network state in this research we analyze the combination of two parameter bandwidth link and router queue length related to the same link to establish a fuzzy metric with the help of a simple fuzzy algorithm. Committed simulation simulator environment NS-2 shows better results in Linux system after trying various scenarios in comparison to the OSPF mono-criterion method.","PeriodicalId":306663,"journal":{"name":"2010 5th International Symposium on Telecommunications","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123392650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
