This paper discusses the importance of collaborative planning, more than community-based in coastal tourism areas as well as mangrove forest conservation areas, as well as environmental stressors in the form of shrimp ponds. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the understanding of the type of planning approach that is most appropriate, namely collaborative in areas that have spatial conflicts. The method used in this paper is a literature study which describes the theory, findings, and other research materials obtained from reference material to be used as a research basis by compiling a clear framework from the formulation of the problem to be studied. coupled with field observations. The author then provides a review, summary, and dialogue about the theory which is then used to build a relevant theoretical framework. Literature references used are related to collaborative planning and coastal tourism. Pangestu","doi":"10.21460/atrium.v7i2.152","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21460/atrium.v7i2.152","url":null,"abstract":"Title: Effectiveness of Daylight Mirror Shafts as Natural Daylighting System for Basements under Tropic Sky Conditions\u0000 \u0000Basements have lots of potential as functional spaces, but have mostly been neglected due to lighting issues. Therefore, this study will explore the daylight mirror shaft system as a daylight strategy for basements, which features the placement of a reflecting surface on a light shaft to redirect daylight. The system was introduced by Heliobus®, a daylighting company from Switzerland. To see the effectiveness of implementing the system in Indonesia, a study was made on its performance on the climate sky condition. Furthermore, a study was made on the effect of different opening orientations and light shaft placements toward the illuminance level achieved. The lighting data was obtained using the simulation softwares Lightstanza. Results show that the performance of the system on climate sky condition can provide sufficient light for 41% of a basement. The use of mirrors on the light shaft could also increase the lighting levels by 2.1 times compared to a shaft without a mirror. Moreover, it was found that different opening orientations and light shaft placements didn’t give a significant effect on the lighting quantity. However, for the past few years, the Original Local Government (OLG) of the tourism sector decreased by 2017, 2018, and 2019. Beach tourism provides the biggest percentage of The Original Local Government Revenue compared to other tourism destinations. One of the indicators that affects revenue from the tourism sector is the tourist spending rate. Therefore, it requires significant effort to identify the determinant factors of space settings that affect spending rates in Baron Beach. The research method used is mix method with the data collection technique used Behavioral Mapping that consist of Place Centered Mapping, Person Centered Mapping, and Time Budget. The conclusion of this research is the space setting of the Baron beach tourist destination is determined by 2 aspects of space and time. (a) The aspect of space is divided into 3 categories. They are high, medium, and low. (b) The aspect of time is divided into 3 categories. They are long, medium, and short. As a medium of communication, a sign serves as a stand of something else or represents an expression message from the maker or owner to another party (interpretant) to be able to read. (Peirce, 1986 as cited in Chandler, 2007). Ornamental architecture is a work of art as a sign that is a medium of communication to viewers or related parties, which contains meaning that is not yet known or understood. The unknown meaning is caused by several types (1. decoration of new creations; 2. historical breakdown; 3. transfer of context; 4. correction of meaning due to discrepancies). Given that ornamental architecture is a sign of a grammatical \"text\", it is possible to interpret it using the same scientific approach of signs. Presumably, semiotics is deemed appropriate even though the results of the interpretation are not absolute. The accuracy and experience (object, location, specific time) of the sign interpretant greatly determine the result of the meaning of the sign, besides the influence of the possible socio-cultural, economic, political, religious, technological background factors, typical forms, masses and evaluators. The success in interpreting the sign proportionally becomes a reference in behaving or acting or placing ornamental architecture more proportionally. This is where the role of semiotics is very helpful in interpreting the sign of ornamental architecture as a basis for further action. Besides in Bayat is also a pottery and religious tourism village. Many people from outside the city visit here. This has made changes and developments in the houses in Bayat. Paseban Village is a village of pottery in Bayat and the majority of the population earns income as pottery artisans. Changes to the layout of the house in Paseban certainly have many factors that influence it. The pattern of home development in Paseban was not all the livelihoods of artisans. It is intended that there is a change in the function of space which was previously used as a dwelling only and now is changing into functions for making pottery. The existence of these changes wants to see what factors influence it. This study uses a qualitative deductive approach, where research is based on a theoretical foundation as a tool for field data collection. Researchers used questionnaires and interviews with Paseban villagers to obtain spatial transformation data. The current condition of the pottery craftsmen's house is seen from the physical form of the house is quite modern, but there are still houses that are still traditional. Yet, covid-19 pandemic made this activity impossible due to the avoiding physical activities in public area. Field survey in the covid-19 pandemic can be conducted through the make use of Google-Street-View (GSV). However, previous articles did not explain sisytematically the topic in the scope of architecture and urban design which were possible to discuss by using GSV. The article aims to review the implementation of observation technique using GSV to support data collection in the field of architecture and urban design. The research method employs the literature review, and case studies from Indonesian cities and abroad by the narrative method. The result showed that 3 topics of discussions were possible to use the GSV as a tool: streetscape evaluation; reading visual characteristics of the city and town; and architectural conservation. Even though some weaknesses were noticed, this technique of data collection give a flexibility for the user especially the lecturers, researchers, as well as students to complete their data collection. However, excessive brightness can also cause discomfort. This study aims to examine the intensity of natural lighting in the meeting room of the COT building, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. This type of research used is quantitative analysis and data collection methods directly using the lux meter measuring instrument, then presented in tabular form. The study's conclusion is that the intensity of natural lighting in the meeting room of the 1st floor, 2nd and 3rd-floor COT buildings, all exceeding 300 lux from the lighting standards. The average significant light intensity outside the building with clear sky conditions in the morning is 29950 lux; daytime is 18360 lux and afternoon is 14550 lux. The average light intensity outside the building with cloudy sky conditions in the morning is 9200 lux, daytime is 8750 lux, and afternoon is 9350 lux. The average significant light intensity outside the building with cloudy sky conditions in the morning is 3250 lux, daytime is 6610 lux, and the afternoon is 5425 lux. The magnitude of the natural light intensity outside the building with any sky conditions significantly affects the natural lighting in the building.
