Adjaye, an architect with various degrees and awards, explicitly stated that the approach used was \"The Unfold Cinematically\". The excellence of this approach deserves to be expressed to provide insight and inspiration, that designing is not by generalizing the form of design, because every place has its uniqueness. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected from literature studies, books, articles, and official websites that refer to Adjaye and his works. The results of this study show that this approach reflects his life journey from moving countries so that the character to respect differences in cultural values is formed. \"The Unfold Cinematically\" then developed into a link between the process consisting of \"The Inside\" and \"The Outside\". The conclusion is that the formation of design thinking is a process of a long life journey. Sensitivity to various conditions determines the formation of an architect’s design thinking. Case Study: Casa Grande Real Estate in Yogyakarta\u0000 \u0000The rapid development of Yogyakarta affects the spread of housing areas to the region of Sleman Regency. Various types of housing overgrow. The middle-high accommodations are usually exclusive and surrounded by fences. The gated community has become a trend for the community’s privacy and security. A gated community's existence can potentially create social gaps between residents and local people. Based on the background, the study’s purpose of identifying social gaps caused by the gated community and the influencing architectural elements. The study implemented a qualitative research method with a case study approach comparing the case with other cases as the context. The study was done in Casa Grande real estate compared to Bale Hinggil and Pesona Merapi real estate. The three cases are in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Province. The study results show that the fences bordering the housing community strengthen the concept of “the others” as dangerous people that must be watched over. However, the development of social media changes the restricted relation into partnership relations. Social segregation that groups people according to economic class is shifting. The city of Kupang has the nickname Karang City, because it has an uncertain climate with the dry season relatively longer than the rainy season. The open space between the 2 lanes of the road in Fatululi Village, Oebobo District, is used to grow vegetables by local residents. This is an interesting potential and example as an urban agriculture in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak. Open space is not only planted with ornamental plants, but also planted with food crops that are beneficial for the food needs of the community. The research target is the potential for more efficient use of green open space to support food needs in urban areas. Qualitative descriptive method was used in this study. This explanation of the use of city open space as an urban area is described in depth to explain the use of open space which is the locus of the study, namely the area of open space in the Frans Seda Street – Fatululi, Kupang area. The method of data collection was carried out by direct observation, conducting interviews with resource persons, and conducting literature studies. Especially large eruption that happened in the 2010 which created crater openings that increased the potential for eruptions leading to Pangukrejo Village, as one of it's area. On the other hand, Pangukrejo Village included in the Disaster-Prone Area III (KRB III) but refused to be relocated. After the 2010 eruption, people realized that they need not only local wisdom but also mitigation efforts by government. Until now, both local wisdom and disaster mitigation have worked together to increasing the preparedness of the people in this village to face future eruptions of Merapi. This study aims to identify local wisdom that still being carried out and worked together with disaster mitigation in Pangukrejo Village, which reviewed from the physical aspects, such as zone planning, early warning systems, and building design. The research use descriptive qualitative method with data analysis using content analysis technique and choosing respondents using purposive sampling technique. Due to this reason, it is necessary to identify whether the design of office space and facilities has implemented standards for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This study aims to determine the condition of the office space design and facilities in Bali to generate a design according to the standards for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method and takes a case study of Bali's architectural and interior consultant building. The analysis is carried out by determining several variables and research indicators referring to the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/328/2020 and supported by some research results. The results show most of these offices being designed according to the standards for preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, such as the layout of the tables/chairs is at a distance of at least 1 meter, the signage designs and accessories guide for workers to adopt a healthy and clean lifestyle, providing dominant natural lighting and provision of the sink, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant. Selain menjadi KCB, Kotagede juga merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang cukup populer di Yogyakarta yang kaya akan atraksi wisata yang bernilai sejarah dan budaya. Beberapa atraksi tersebut merupakan BCB. Namun, sangat disayangkan sebagai KCB dengan atraksi wisata andalan berupa BCB, kondisi pelestarian BCB di KCB Kotagede berada paling buruk diantara KCB lainnya di Yogyakarta. Sehingga perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk melihat kondisi BCB yang menjadi atraksi wisata di Kotagede, apakah berada dalam kondisi pelestarian yang baik atau kurang baik, serta bagaimana pengaruh pariwisata terhadap pelestarian BCB. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam (depth interview) kepada pengelola yang disertai pemberian skor. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelestarian BCB yang menjadi atraksi wisata di Kotagede berada dalam kondisi baik. Salah satu upaya pelestarian BCB yakni dengan pemanfaatannya pada sektor pariwisata. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa pariwisata berdampak positif terhadap pelestarian BCB di Kotagede karena mendukung pengelola untuk memelihara BCB dengan baik guna memberikan kepuasan kepada wisatawan. By 2019, the Indonesian Government wants to increase the tourism contribution to 8 per cent of GDP, requiring 20 million tourist visits. Ten \"New Bali\" destinations have been developed by President Jokowi, including the Seribu Islands Regency. Seribu Islands, located in Jakarta Capital Region, has various potentials and problems, such as economic disparity, rising seawater levels, declining fisheries production, limited water resources, and environmental pollution. Some Neighborhood Units (Rukun Warga) in the Seribu Islands are slums, including Panggang Island. Therefore, an Integrated Kampung Improvement (Muhammad Husni Thamrin Plus Program) was proposed. This study is prepared to identify potential concepts for spatial rezoning of Panggang Island, integrating sustainable tourism and housing neighbourhood redevelopment. The research problems are how can the community create a healthier and safer home, how can the sustainable 'tourist lodge' model in Panggang Island, and what concept of spatial rezoning of Panggang Island can be proposed. To understand the integration of tourism and residential development, we conducted Case Study Research (CSR) to learn from the Maldives Islands and implemented a qualitative approach of Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis for Panggang Island. Based on the SWOT, we propose a rezoning concept for sustainable Panggang Island, integrating potential tourism zones, new fisher's housing zones, polder infrastructures, utilities, and green zones. Melalui kesan, seseorang menemukan karakter yang khas dan kemudian dapat memutuskan untuk melanjutkan atau menghentikan proses interaksinya. Pada kegiatan pariwisata, branding adalah upaya pemasaran karakter khas sebuah objek wisata, agar dapat diterima oleh masyarakat. Dengan branding yang tepat, seorang pengunjung dapat merasakan kesan pada Kawasan wisata, dan kemudian menjadi image dari kawasan tersebut. Ketika seseorang memiliki keinginan atau hasrat untuk melakukan kegiatan pariwisata, maka ada kebutuhan untuk dapat merasakan pengalaman yang berbeda. Kemunculan Hasrat berwisata menjadikan sesorang mau bergerak untuk mencapai, menemukan, menikmati pengalaman karakter kawasa wisata yang khas, kemudian terbentuk menjadi image dari Kawasan wisata. Akses merupakan salah satu komponen pariwisata yang didalamnya menunjukan pentingnya pengaturan pergerakan sebagai sarana pembentuk image Kawasan. Puncak Sosok adalah salah satu objek wisata di daerah Kabupaten Bantul yang sedang berkembang cukup signifikan. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas Image Kawasan wisata Puncak Sosok, coba dilakukan simulasi pengaturan pergerakan berdasarkan prinsip hubungan antara pergerakan dan elemen rancang Kawasan. One of the strong discourses in forming the foundation of thinking is Nusantara Architecture. Nusantara Architecture, as suggested by Prijotomo, is an architecture in which its perspective, concepts, and theories are developed based on Mother Nature. Prijotomo has been working in the formation of this Thinking and it evolves in time. It is important to understand this journey as well as to understand Nusantara Architecture The study of the exploration of Prijotomo’s thinking about Nusantara Architecture (1999-2020) aims to identify the shift of Prijotomo’s way of thinking from Traditional Architecture to Nusantara Architecture, as well as identifying the impacts or implications of Prijotomo’s thinking in the recent era. The study uses a historical research method using documents and oral sources. The document sources used are the original ones including books and articles written by Prijotomo within 1999-2020, while the oral sources are the direct conversation with Prijotomo. Through the exploration, it can be concluded that using Nusantara Architecture thinking, Prijotomo has attempted to make the base thought of Mother Nature equal to Western Architecture (European and American). This study serves as a starter to place Nusantara Architecture as architectural knowledge that is ‘liyan (the other)’ in relation to Western Architecture (European and American). The thoughts in seeking the base foundations for architects of (in) Indonesia are still ongoing. However, the offer and even the basis initiated and proposed in a series of Prijotomo’s deep thinking struggle are crucial and relevant.
