The sensor network systems embedded in environment make it for robots to more precisely navigate and localize itself and to more intellectually response to events occurred in the space where robots and environment are cooperated each other, what we called \"ubiquitous robotic space\". The ubiquitous robotic space consists of three conceptual spaces, physical, semantic, and virtual space. These spaces are seamlessly connected and provide more suitable information to robot and users. This paper presents two novel fast tag anti-collision algorithms called DJ (<i>detection</i> <i>and</i> <i>jump</i>) and EDJ (<i>extended</i> <i>detection</i> <i>and</i> <i>jump</i>) algorithm, which split the tag reading procedure into two steps including <i>collision</i> <i>detection</i> <i>and</i> <i>jump</i> <i>reading</i>. The proposed new algorithms highly improve the tag reading efficiency comparing to the popular <i>Q-algorithm</i> as discussed in the EPC (electronic product code) international standard. One way towards loose coupling is to refrain from hard-coding policies in the system and to represent them explicitly. This approach is increasingly implemented in Web service deployments (the main realization of SOAs). Semantic Web services (SWS) add semantics to Web services, to automate the various tasks common in service-oriented systems. P2P is an effective way to spread media data to a large amount of viewers and enables the successful deployment of next-generation Internet services such as video on demand (VOD), IPTV video conference and surveillance. As the Internet becomes more and more wireless and mobile, P2P terminals are nowadays evolving into a mixture of both stationary and mobile entities. Mobile phones have less computing power, memory and supported media formats than personal computers. Hence, when deploying large scale P2P streaming overlay, it is important to address such heterogeneity. In this article, we propose a new way of integrating services, namely ad-hoc service integration. For a certain class of services, ad-hoc integration is capable of automatically combining services at run time. This allows generating new functionalities from services newly appearing or already being available in the Ubicomp environment, but leaving the services' interfaces unchanged. This way, the extension in service functionality can be kept transparent to applications or users of a service. Nevertheless, our service-integration framework can more precisely distinguish among services. To show the feasibility of ad-hoc integration, we have implemented our service-integration framework based on OSGi/Felix along with a toolkit providing two different techniques to realize the ad-hoc integration: Redirection, i.e. calling interfaces and replication, i.e. copying implementations of services. Semantic content-based video retrieval system is a software system that uses a semantic index built over a collection of video documents to retrieve the sequences of video frames that satisfy the given conditions. This work introduces a new multilevel view of data for the semantic content-based video retrieval systems. At the topmost level, we define an abstract view of data and we express it in a notation of enhanced conceptual modeling suitable for the formal representation of the semantic contents of video documents. A semistructured data model is proposed for the middle level representation of data. At the bottom level we implement a semistructured data model as an object-relational database. The completeness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through the mappings of a conceptual level into a semistructured level and into an object-relational organization of data. This paper presents a tool that discovers web services based on ontologies. Supporting this kind of communication in mobile ad hoc networks is still a challenge, though, especially in partially or intermittently connected networks. This paper addresses this problem by combining the concept of content-based communication with that of opportunistic networking. The protocol it describes exploits transient contacts between mobile hosts that exchange messages according to their respective interest profiles. A message thus disseminates in the network by being stored, carried, and forwarded by those hosts that show some interest for this message. However, due to the insufficient hardware resources, multimedia services depend on special hardware devices which cause high manufacturing cost and high battery consumption. In this paper, we introduce a software-based multimedia playback architecture that can be used for multimedia services. To realize software-based scheme, we start from video partial decoding and VOCODER timer. With these two tools, we envision multimedia player architecture working with other existing tasks without any modification and without any special hardware device.
