Compared with the traditional excavation technology, it has the advantages of high efficiency, small damage, and can be used for crossing construction. And, the guiding and positioning technology is the most critical technology in horizontal directional drilling, which determines the success or failure of the entire construction. In this paper, by using the method of microseismic, we first simulate a single microseismic event to obtain the seismic record. Then, we take advantage of the solution of the eikonal equation by a finite difference method to calculate the theoretical travel time of the first arrival wave. Finally, the cross-correlation gather records and the first arrival time records are used for interferometric imaging and superposition to obtain the source location. A two-dimensional geological velocity model of a uniform medium is used to perform numerical simulation. Numerical experiments demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. Compared with the traditional methods, it has higher positioning accuracy and can achieve better control of trajectory of horizontal directional drilling.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"151 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115599532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, the extended intensity factor is obtained. The extended stress, extended crack opening displacement near the crack tip, and J-integral or energy release rate are all expressed by the intensity factor. Numerical calculations are used to investigate the distributions of extended stress near the right crack tip and the influence of different field loads on the energy release rate.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125769834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are challenges in such analyses due to complex equations with curved arcs and numerical methods in case analytical solutions are not available. In this study, curved beams with commonly encountered arcs are studied for free vibrations with featured frequencies and mode shapes as the objectives of calculations. The Rayleigh-Ritz method is used with polynomial functions as the deformation, and accurate frequencies and mode shapes are obtained from convergent and verified solutions. It is the objective of this study that the method will be extended to a long, curved, and periodic beam for its free vibrations for in-depth understanding of vibrations of such unusual but ubiquitous structures from recent technological advances.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116021935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A analytical expression for static moduli is obtained by evolution according to the method, and the static moduli are calculated by the expression. Then the calculation results are compared with those obtained by experimental and empirical methods. It shows that MGGP method is more accurate than the traditional empirical relation between dynamic and static parameters. Furthermore, MGGP requires less input parameters. For example, S-wave velocities are not necessary. So the method reduce the error induced by the inaccurate or missing of S-wave velocities.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122333402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is also found that some curves on which the cuts have the same frequency-temperature relation as that of the AT- and SC-cut quartz resonators and the inflection temperature cover a quite wide range. Finally, using this method, we found a novel cut whose frequency-temperature relation is much better than the AT- and SC-cut quartz crystal resonators. The temperature range that the absolute value of frequency shifts is smaller than 10ppm for this novel cut from −70°C to 130°C and the frequency constant is 35% higher than the AT-cut resonator.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131900543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is still affected by the lack of training samples, which may lead to the occurrence of overfitting. This issue gets more serious when dealing with high-dimensional data such as HSI. And the single scale of the input data ignores the abundance of multi-scale spatial information. In response to the above problems, we propose a multi-scale convolutional neural network method. And the method can extract multiple scale areas centered on the pixel to be classified. Then it adjusts the areas to the same size and inputs the adjusted data into the standard convolutional neural network for training and testing. Experimental results indicate that proposed method boost the performances in terms of classification accuracies.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134444739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a novel, efficient and effective approach using guided ultrasonic waves for defect detection in pipeline structures is proposed. Based on boundary integral equations and Fourier transform of space-wavenumber domain, this developed method for quantitative detection of defects comprises three stages: first, theoretical foundation of quantitative detection is established using the boundary integral equations and the term in the integral is defined as B(k), k for wavenumber, according to Bom approximation. Subsequently, B(k) of a known defect can be written as B0(k) by Fourier transform of space-wavenumber domain to approximately represent the feature of an unknown defect in wavenumber domain. Finally, by combining B0(k) and reflection coefficients C(k), the location and shape of the unknown defect can be efficiently and effectively reconstructed. Several examples have been tested to demonstrate the correctness of the proposed methodology. It is concluded that the general two-dimensional surface defects can be efficiently detected by this novel approach.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133373262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studies about three main well-acknowledged evaluation indicators for critical projects resilience were then summarized including probability of resistance to earthquake, post-disaster consequences and recovery time. A quantitative evaluation method for seismic resilience was then introduced to construct resilience curves. To illustrate the whole procedure, the post-earthquake resilience performance of one urban water supply system in China was analyzed as an example case. The earthquake damage rate of the system was calculated concerning the site condition, pipe diameter and macro-seismic intensity as parameters. The resilience curves were then derived under different damage rate. It turns out that the damage ratio has significant impact on the robustness of the system’s resilience, and thus affect the recovery time.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129002536","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here we report an ultrasound based strategy to aggregate nanoparticles at an arbitrary location at the interface between a non-vibrating substrate and water film, and to transport the aggregated spot freely at the interface. The strategy employs the acoustic streaming, which is generated by an ultrasonic needle probe in vibration. In the experiments, the Si nanoparticles are aggregated under the ultrasonic needle probe at a desired location, forming a round spot of nano materials, and the round spot can be transported through an arbitrary path at the interface by moving the device. The dependencies of the acoustic streaming field around the ultrasonic needle probe on the parameters are clarified by numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":304940,"journal":{"name":"2019 Symposium on Piezoelectrcity,Acoustic Waves and Device Applications (SPAWDA)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116686771","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The transducer is composed of a rear metal block, a longitudinally polarized piezoelectric ceramic piece and a slotted round front cover. The longitudinal vibration of the piezoelectric oscillators drive the front cover to generate bending vibration to widen the operating frequency band while reducing the fluctuation of transmission voltage response. In this paper, the design method of this multimode coupled transducer is given, and the method is verified by numerical simulation.
