The fishing process requires bait to lure the crab into the trap. In Betahwalang Village there is a crab processing plant which produces quite a lot of waste in the form of crab shells. This research was conducted to find out the difference between crab catches and Bubu fishing gear using petek fish, crab fish and crab carapace waste and to find out the width of the carapace of the caught crab. The method used in this study was experimental fishing, using 30 units of fishing gear. The baits used were ponyfish, bagrid catfish and swimming crab’s shell waste, 10 traps each. The conclusion of this study is that statistical analysis shows the differences in bait on trap fishing gear have no effect on blue swimming crab catches in Betahwalang Village, Demak Regency. This shows that the shell waste can be an alternative bait for catching blue swimming crabs, because the results are not different from those caught using ponyfish or bagrid catfish as baits. The width of the carapace of the blue swimming crab caught is 85 – 122 mm, 73.5% of which are > 100 mm in size which is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (PERMEN KP) No. 16 Year 2022.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49530958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Treatment was growing plants on benches, at the different water levels of trenches-which were 15 cm, 20 cm, and 25 cm from the soil surface-arranged in a randomized block design with three replications. The results showed that the height of standing water in the trench affected the soil water, leaf proline, and N content. The water level of 15 cm had a higher soil water potential (-0.48 MPa), the proline content of 1.52 mol/g fresh leaf weight, and the N content of leaves was 2.6% than those of 20 cm and 25 cm. The lowest N content and leaf chlorophyll content were obtained at a height of water level of 25 cm, namely 1.79% leaf fresh weight and 1.74% leaf fresh weight, respectively, but, higher proline content was found at 2.47µmol/g fresh leaf weight. Thus, both the water level of the bench of 15 cm and 20 cm had better nitrogen metabolism. Plants grown at the benches of 25 cm can still withstand low soil water content, proven by their highest leaf proline content. The increase in proline value in soybeans under stress conditions was caused by de novo synthesis, not due to protein degradation. The mechanism of nitrogen metabolism in soybean (C3) under mild stress conditions is postulated to be the same as nitrogen metabolism in corn (C4).","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68347592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hydroponic cultivation techniques are carried out for controlled maintenance to obtain the desired production. This experiment was conducted to determine the types of melon varieties combined with different planting media compositions to increase the growth and yield of melons using a hydroponic drip irrigation system. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is variety (V) which consists of 3 levels, namely: V1 = Apollo, V2 = Autumn Waltz No. 2, and V3 = Alisha F1. The second factor was the composition of the planting medium (M), which consisted of 3 levels: M1 = 25% husk charcoal: 75% cocopeat, M2 = 75% husk charcoal: 25% cocopeat, and M3 = 50% husk charcoal: 50% cocopeat. The results of this experiment found that the combination of the Alisha variety and the planting medium of 75% cocopeat + 25% husk charcoal increased growth and yield with a fruit weight of 1797.33 g and a fruit diameter of 145.73 mm. The Alisha variety showed an average thickness of 44.29 mm flesh with lower water content and an average higher sugar content than other melon varieties, namely 15.78 brix.","PeriodicalId":30373,"journal":{"name":"Russian Journal of Agricultural and SocioEconomic Sciences","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48437990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
