With the progress of sedimentation, flood control capacity and power generation capacity will decline. So, various researches have been made on these concerns so far. However, there are few quantitative studies in regard to the influence of sediment on seismic performance of dam. Therefore, in this study, we made 3-D dynamic analysis in order to quantitatively evaluate the influence of sediment on the seismic response of arch dam when high water level, for the purpose of establishing the seismic performance evaluation method considering the influence of sediment.
