Designing for this medium does have its challenges, and designers and developers must adopt new design processes and pipeline for creating and manipulating virtual spaces in VR. There have been several works of research within similar fields of 3D manipulation with an HMD, but recent technological strides demand new efforts to translate prior knowledge toward the development of new and innovative tools. In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a web-based authoring tool that exploits VR technology in the creation of the virtual spaces using an immersive Collaborative Virtual Environment (CVE). The purpose is a multi-user collaboration platform for the web browser adaptable to a wide variety of cases and purposes and which allows multiple and dissimilar stakeholders to create and manipulate virtual spaces in collaboration, either recreate real-world scenes or construct new digital environments using their imagination.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"6 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116116711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We applied Sequence to Sequence models with attention mechanism to a parallel gloss to English corpus. This is the first work that used these models to translate American gloss sentences to English. We present our experiments on several network architectures with three different attention functions. The results are very promising and can be useful for the further implementation of a full sign language recognition system.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124745431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adult face has matured feature for gender specification while face of juvenile age of group 2 to 14 year is very hard to recognize by system through digital face only. Face image having variation in illumination, pose (position, orientation, scale and expression) and obstructions as cuts, moles, eye color, birth marks, cap, scarves, bandage, spectacles etc. makes more hard to classify juvenile face in attribute of male or female. The paper contribute in feature engineering for illumination invariant, compact feature extraction for juvenile faces in unconstrained environment. Juvenile face has uniqueness feature in edges and texture pattern for different gender category. Gabor filter is illumination invariant and generate edge, textural features but redundant feature coefficients and huge dimensions. In the proposed method, the problem is solved using MeanDCT to generating compact and unique features for efficiency and accuracy respectively.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132449257","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, this research of developing a compact computational constrained travel aid to help them easily tackle the daily practice is a necessity. As there are approximately 1.3 billion visually impaired people, having a low-cost solution for them is an important requirement. To match this condition, we have used raspberry pi 3 and pi 4 tagged with the pi camera and sonar sensor, all of which are budget-friendly and serves our purpose. This system is attached to a cane and notifies the user about the nature and range of object with the help of sonar sensor and images captured from the pi camera. We have used the lighter versions of You Only Look Once (YOLO) and Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) model that has been deployed on both raspberry pi 3 and pi 4. The performance of both versions of raspberry with different models has been tested in an outdoor scenario. It has been observed that raspberry pi 4 is twice faster than pi 3 and the overall performance of Tiny YOLOv3 (Model2) is best in comparison to other models on both pi 3 and pi 4.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"16 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132336135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An open question is how to provide services that can justifiably be trusted and at the same time acceptable and usable by the clients. The aim of the present paper is to reveal three conceptually different data-driven approaches for quality of service (QoS) assessment based on quality metrics data. A comparison analysis of the described assessments provides a solid base for reliable QoS service selection. Software tool that enables the three assessments is developed. It ensures a general overview of the compared services according to their quality. Analysis of advantages and drawbacks of the estimations is done both on theoretical perspective and through application by the tool towards real time data of two web services of weather forecasting.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"35 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131832297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on plural language models and personalized incremental learning interface for error correction. If an error in a recognition result is detected by a bidirectional neural language model, it generates a corrected sentence by a majority decision among multiple n-gram language models considering several aspects. Moreover, we introduce a speaker adaptation by updating language models through incremental learning, which can adjust the parameter from training data. The experiments show that our framework improves word-error rate to 78% compared with Google Chrome's Speech Recognition API. Our framework can be used for improving one-to-one human-machine dialogue systems such as intelligent (counseling) agents.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"9 4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133219540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this research, Hjorth Descriptors, which consists of 5 parameters: Activity, Mobility, Complexity, Chaos and Hazard, is used as the estimators for feature extraction. To show the comparative classifications, the Least-Squares (LS), Maximum-Likelihood (ML), Radial Basis Function Network (RBF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifiers were evaluated for their performance in classification. There were three specific types of ECG signal samples, which are Normal Sinus Rhythm (NSR), Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), analyzed and classified. Experiment results show that the alternative Hjorth descriptor could gain more insight of different significance among various types of ECG waveforms representing the heart function in affective condition.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"257 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124222444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our work, we suppose that the network's nodes are sensing some events which generate heavy data that must be carried over several packets. We propose a routing protocol that makes use of the Blockchain technology to offer a shared memory between the network's nodes. These nodes are considered as coins in which the ownership transacts between the source nodes and the sink. All the transactions are stored in the Blockchain as a means to share the network's status in real-time. In order to select the optimal path, we introduce a cost function which considers the load density and interferences level at each node. Furthermore, we are taking advantage of the Blockchain security to secure the selected paths in the network. The simulation results have shown that this solution could be applicable and could resolve the issues cited above.","PeriodicalId":301876,"journal":{"name":"2019 15th International Conference on Signal-Image Technology & Internet-Based Systems (SITIS)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128675545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
