Fieldworks were carried out between March 2016 and October 2017 to determine the fauna of the family Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) in Kocaeli province. Species and specimen numbers were evaluated. Sixty-two species belonging to 39 genera were identified within 24 tribes, that classified under five subfamilies of Cerambycidae. Cerambycinae was the most represented subfamily with 29 species (634 specimens), and Prioninae was the least represented subfamily with three individuals in two species. Thirty-six of 62 species were the new records for Kocaeli province. Among them, Leptura aurulenta was reported for the second time in Turkey. Memecik) uzerinde Euphyllura phillyreae Foerster (Hemiptera: Psyllidae)’nin populasyon degisimi ve biyolojik donemlerinin durumu incelenmistir. Zeytinliklerde, E. phillyreae’nin yumurtalari 8 Mart-12 Mayis, nimfleri 16 Mart-18 Haziran tarihleri arasinda bulunmustur. Zeytin agaclarinin cicek salkim olusumu ve tomurcuklanma baslangici donemlerinde birakilan ilk yumurtalar, Bornova’da, Kemalpasa’dan 2-3 hafta once gorulmustur. Yumurta ve nimf donemleri sadece mart basi-haziran ortasi arasinda gozlenmistir. Yillara gore mart, nisan ve mayis aylarinin ortalama sicakliklari sirasiyla; 2015 yilinda, Bornova’da 11.9/14.9/22.6 °C, Kemalpasa’da 9.6/12.6/20.2 °C; 2016 yilinda, Bornova’da 13.4/18.2/21.2 °C, Kemalpasa’da 11.0/16.9/18.4 °C olmustur. Nimf sayisi nisan ayinin son haftasinda en yuksek duzeye ulasmistir. Ayrica, nimfler Bornova’da her iki yilda da haziran ayinin ucuncu haftasina kadar (orta-iri yesil meyve donemi), Kemalpasa’da mayis sonuna kadar (meyve baglama donemi) gorulmustur. Erginler yil boyunca zeytinliklerden toplanmistir. Yillara gore degismekle birlikte, yeni erginler ilk olarak 28 Nisan-29 Mayis tarihleri arasinda, zeytin agaclarinin kapali cicek tomurcugu, tomurcukta uyanma, ciceklenme baslangici veya %50 ciceklenme donemlerinde cikmistir. Yaz aylarinda ergin populasyonunun daha yuksek oldugu, sonra giderek azaldigi belirlenmistir. En az ergin ocak ve subat aylarinda elde edilmistir. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of pre-harvest fruit rot in pomegranate orchards in Adana and Mersin provinces, to detect fungal pathogens associated with fruit rot, and to reveal the effect of inoculations performed at different times on disease incidence. Totally 39 orchards were surveyed in 2018 and symptomatic fruit samples were collected. Fungal pathogens were isolated by standard mycological procedures and identified by classical and molecular techniques. Pathogens were inoculated at two different periods (flowering-fruit set and fruit growth stages) in field conditions, fruitlet drop and calyx rot incidence were recorded respectively. According to results, the prevalence of fruit rot in Adana and Mersin was found to be 70.6% and 22.7% respectively. The average disease incidence in these provinces was calculated as 5.0% and 1.1% in the same order. The isolates including Alternaria spp., Aspergillus niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Botrytis cinerea, Colletotrichum sp., Diaporthe ambigua, Nigrospora oryzae, Penicillium spp. and Talaromyces spp. were obtained from the symptomatic fruits. Some of these fungi caused fruitlet falling off 87.5-100% when inoculated at the fruit set time; however, the dropping rates were 60-70% in the control just treated with tap water. These results indicated that all inoculated species were pathogenic on flowers and fruitlets and they caused falling off these parts. On the other hand, when the fruits reached half size, only Coniella granati and Diaporthe ambigua inoculations caused calyx rot on the fruit, whereas other species could not it.
