Information service provides radio environment information that enables 802.11af APs to facilitate channels with its neighbor APs. Each AP determines its operating parameters by itself to mitigate interference using the information. On the other hands, with management service, coexistence manager (CM) determines optimum operating parameters for each AP based on its coexistence decision making. We propose an operating channel selection mechanism for 802.19.1 management service and evaluate performance of interference mitigation among neighbor 802.11af Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) access points (APs). Using OPNET simulation we compare SNR, BER, and packet drop at 802.11af APs based on BSS coexistence scenario with two services. However, existing cloaking methods suffer from computation and communication cost due to the large cloaking area. In this paper, we propose an adaptive spatial cloaking method based on the semantic locations to protect users' privacy. The cloaking region is generated in an asymmetric way and can obtain a reasonable cloaking size. The VTU is placed in the vehicle and sends continuously vehicle basic information code through radio frequency signals in all directions. These signals are captured by the OT (which is connected to outside world) and the records of all Vehicle Terminal Units which are in its communication range are stored in its database. The VTU will consist of basic information of the said vehicle like chassis no, engine no, registration no, validity of registration, type of vehicle etc. This information is stored in the memory (read only) of the VTU at the time of registration in continuous encrypted way. Communication or linking of this system is based on radio frequency signal communication in free license band of frequency (2.41 to 2.49 GHz) and application based communication protocol. The range of operation is about 200 meters. It supports different activities of the authorized vehicle regulatory agencies of that region. This system helps to keep track of the road vehicle movements in specific area. In this paper, we examine problems that can happen when applying the DTLS protocol to IoT networks directly. To solve the problems, we separate the DTLS protocol into two; the handshake phase and the encryption phase. Our approach enhances performance in both device and network by using a way to delegate the DTLS handshake phase. We also present two scenarios (inbound and outbound) based on the properties of Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) enabled sensors. Therefore, there are significant research efforts in industries and academia. To evaluate and compare different types of energy efficiency solutions in PON, mathematical models are already studied energy efficiency. However, mathematical models are complex and require simple assumptions; so that, simulation models are preferred to obtain big picture and detailed analysis of PON. One of the widely applied approaches to make PON energy efficient is sleep mode mechanism, in which some of the components in PON equipment are turned off whenever possible. However, sleep mode could deteriorate Quality of Service (QoS) performance of PON traffic (e.g. packet might experience delay, throughput might be reduced). Therefore, it is significantly important to take into consideration these QoS factors while proposing any sleep mode algorithm. To the best of our knowledge, to date, there are a few existing research efforts to understand energy saving and TCP traffic performance in PON at the same time. In this paper, we develop a novel simulation and modeling framework for Ethernet PON (EPON) with sleep mode capability using OPNET Modular; so that, all network traffic performance could be analyzed and wide range of results could be produced. In this paper, we have analyzed the performance of TCP throughput under a very widely used sleep interval deciding algorithm used for TDM-PONs (e.g. EPON). Unlike simple application scenarios such as word count, many applications of MapReduce exhibit strong skewed access patterns in real production environment, the data access is non-uniform, often only a small portion of data are accessed far more frequently than others. Clearly, handling these hot data efficiently is quite critical to the overall performance of the MapReduce computation. In this paper, we present TS-Hadoop, a MapReduce system based on Apache Hadoop. The most significant feature of TS-Hadoop is that it utilizes tiered storage infrastructure, besides HDFS, TS-Hadoop also has a shared-disk cluster called HCache, it can be guaranteed that the data in HCache could be processed in highly parallel way. TS-Hadoop automatically distinguish hot and cold data based on current workload, and move them into HCache and HDFS respectively, the hot data in HCache could would be processed efficiently. In this paper, we propose masked parallel Bloom filter with twice verification Hash table (MPBF-TVHT) to achieve full flexibility of multi-protocol query and lower false positive possibility (FPP) for SDN switch. We depict item store and query process of multi-protocol lookup table in all field combinations, analysis influence that different combinations have on FPP and provide effective solutions. It embodies RF transceiver section based on direct-conversion transmitter and low-IF receiver architecture. To validate its operation, the prototype is fabricated in 0.18um GF standard CMOS process. It shows +5dBm TX output power and -85dBm RX sensitivity. Furthermore, RX dynamic range reaches up to 90dB. The transceiver consumes 26mA and 18mA for TX and RX operations under 1.8V supply voltage, respectively.
