Foresight of huge food production demand in the South East Asian Countries, developed countries viz U.S.A and Australia launched countrywide projects on raised beds and furrows (RBF), which produced good effects, but also showed limitations leading to no adoption of important agriculture practice by farmers. Methods: Present research develop with envisioned scientific insight a new RBF the most satisfying all scientific features, converging seven different aspects of soil cation exchange capacity (EC) and also supported by recent supporting innovation, in a fixed module, feasible for formation and plausible adoption by farmers. This new nano technology, which also acts as auto draining and having high resilience to climate change. Was designated as Nano RBF (N-RBF. Results: The N-RBF overcomes all past limitations and fulfilled with proving qualities different aspects of plant nutrients. Field experimental results on crop performance and enhanced yields produced almost three fold more yields than those harvested by nonparticipating farmers in vicinity of the experiment. Thus, the N-RBF is the best in domain of enhancing soil productivity by building plant nutrients. Conclusions: The N RBF proved directly fulfilling aspects of almost by 71 % and positively supports remaining by 29 %, to go long way in fulfilling the sustainable development goal of Un Mission 2030. Thus, this research culminated in bringing nano-tech practice on soil productivity that becomes means to support food and many other developments for global gentry.","PeriodicalId":298573,"journal":{"name":"SunText Review of BioTechnology","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123731619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Management of pest vector that responsible for the transfer of virus disease is really important in sweet potato planting. Aphid transmits Sweet potato feathery mottle virus (SPFMV) meanwhile whitefly transmits Sweet potato chlorotic stunt virus (SPCSV). SPFMV when singly or mix with other viruses had caused reduction in the quantity and quality of the sweet potato tubers. Objectives: Aims of this study is to control the pest vector using plants compounds with pesticidal effect to repel pests. Materials: Chives (Allium tuberosum) were planted in companion to sweet potato as a prophylactic measure to manage the pest vectors responsible for the transfer of virus disease at farmer plot in Semenyih, Selangor. A total number of 192 bags of chives were planted companion to sweet potato in a ratio 1:2 as repellent crop. Partial budgeting on the effect of sweet potato planting with chives was evaluated. Results: Sweet potato planted with chives showed lower mean number of aphid and whitefly when compared to mean number for aphid and whitefly in the control plants (sweet potato without chives). A lower virus incidence percentage was also significantly observed in sweet potato planted with chives (27.5%) compared to the control plants (41.2%). Moreover, sweet potato grown with chives attracted more beneficial arthropod/ insects. Conclusion: In conclusion, planting sweet potato with chives has a positive impact on the production with 13% increment of sweet potato yield compared to planting sweet potato alone. Farmer earned extra income from the sale of chives in addition to the existing sweet potato produce. Furthermore, results of the analysis showed that more positive benefits were obtained with the value of in net income RM 344.57 when sweet potato was planted companion with chives.","PeriodicalId":298573,"journal":{"name":"SunText Review of BioTechnology","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127187762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials & Methods: It was based on the document review based on electronic manuscripts. Results: The resulting information was grouped into 4 chapters: the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and its deficiency, the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency protects against malaria parasites, need to rule out deficiency of glucose-6phosphate dehydrogenase before starting treatment of malaria by Plasmdium vivax and conclusions. Conclusions: It is concluded that this deficiency in malaria has a balanced polymorphism between resistance and infection, because it confers resistance to P. falciparum infections, but produces hemolysis in the treatment with primaquine in P. vivax. In the case of P. vivax malaria, the discarding of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, the treatment supervised by health professionals and the use for radical cure of optional schemes, to reduce the risk of hemolysis is imposed.","PeriodicalId":298573,"journal":{"name":"SunText Review of BioTechnology","volume":"206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121183329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
