Maisaroh","doi":"10.29080/mrcm.v2i1.1121","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29080/mrcm.v2i1.1121","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to know various types, prevalence, and intensity of ectoparasite on mud crab (Scylla serrata) in Mangrove Forest Wonorejo, Surabaya.  This study used survey method with random sampling to collect the data.  This study was conducted in November 2020.  Ectoparasite in this study collected by smear method.  In-situ water quality measurement were applied in this study.  Mud crab (Scylla serrata) in this study was obtained from local fisherman that consist of 30 crabs.  There are 3 types of ectoparasite was infected mud crab there are Octolasmis sp. (208 ind), Zoothamnium sp. (93 ind), dan Epistylis sp. (116 ind).  Those ectoparasite was found in mud crabs gills.  The highest prevalence was Octolasmis sp. (70%), Epistylis sp. (30%), Zoothamnium sp. (23%).  The highest intensity was Zoothamnium sp (13,29 ind/crab), Epistylis sp. (12,89 ind/crab), dan Octolasmis sp. Maisaroh","doi":"10.29080/mrcm.v2i1.1122","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29080/mrcm.v2i1.1122","url":null,"abstract":"Chitosan is synthesized from milkfish scales (Chanos chanos) and tiger shrimp shells (Panaeus monodon) were used as corrosion inhibitors on ASTM A36 steel in a mixture solutions of sodium chloride (NaCl) 3,5% and acetic acid (CH3COOH) 3%. The waste of milkfish scales and tiger shrimp shells is extracted into chitin through deproteination and demineralization processes. Chitin is synthesized into chitosan through deacetylation process. The yield of milkfish scales chitosan was 31,81%, while the yield of tiger shrimp chitosan was 67,16%. Corrosion rate testing using the weight loss method then calculates the inhibition efficiency of each inhibitor. Soaking the test specimens was carried out for 4 weeks with measurements of weight, pH value and salinity each week. The concentrations used were 0 ppm as negative control, 60 ppm, 500 ppm and 1000 ppm for chitosan inhibitor and 1000 ppm sodium nitrite as positive control. The optimum inhibition efficiency of milkfish scales chitosan is 48,9% at a concentration of 60 ppm with a soaking time of 3 weeks. The optimum inhibition efficiency of tiger shrimp shell chitosan is 57,7% at a concentration of 500 ppm with a soaking time of 1 week. This research was conducted in June-November 2020. This research used descriptive and experimental methods (Experiments). The samples used were cotton, rayon, and sateen fabrics. The results showed that the lindur leaf fixator (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza) was able to dye fabric fibers. The results of the color fastness value in hot water are influenced by the difference in ΔE (colorfastness), cotton fabrics have a range of values ​​between the medium category (5.1-5.94), the medium-large category rayon cloth (5.09-9.06 ), medium category satin (3.65-4.35). With these advantages, this fish is increasingly popular among cultivators. The need for tilapia fish seeds is increasing every year. The UPT of Freshwater Aquaculture Fisheries (PBAT) of Pasuruan Regency is one of the superior seed supply units for fisheries in East Java. The superior commodity is tilapia fish seeds. The purpose of this research is to know hatchery techniques for Red Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) at UPT PBAT Pasuruan Regency. The research was carried out directly through active participation in all Red Tilapia hatchery activities. The results are: Red tilapia hatchery at UPT PBAT Pasuruan Regency, uses natural spawning techniques with a male to female ratio of 1: 3. This study uses experimental methods laboratory. Laboratory-scale data collection is carried out by observation of biota paste activities fouling on the aquarium (antifouling rate) as well as its regaining rate. This research uses research design complete random design (RAL) with three repetitions. Local sea cucumber methanol extract (Phyllophorus sp.) contains bioactive compounds such as saponins, alkaloids, tannins, steroids and phenolics. Methanol Extract local sea cucumber (Phyllophorus sp.) affects the antifouling rate by reducing the Nerita sp. macrofouler paste rate with increasing concentration. It's the same thing,occurs where the increasing concentration of local sea cucumber methanol extract (Phyllophorus sp.) provides a significant decrease in Nerita sp. macrofouler regaining capability. The results lethal concentration 50 or LC50 obtained a value of 185.18. This means the concentration of the extract sea cucumber (Phyllophorus sp.) is deadly 50% of all biota test at a concentration of 185.18 mg/ml. Based on antifouling rate analysis and regaining rate it is known that the concentration of the most effective that can be used as an antifouling is a concentration of 75 mg/ml. This is because a concentration of 75 mg/ml of local sea cucumber methanol extract (Phyllophorus sp.) can already inhibit paste macrofouler Nerita sp. Phytoplankton is a biological parameter that can be used as an indicator of the fertility of a waters. The purpose of this study was to determined the community structure of phytoplankton and the level of fertility in the waters of Pasir Putih beach, Situbondo. The study was conducted at five stasions in Watu Lawang waters, Pasir Putih Beach, Situbondo. The Sampling used purposive sampling method. Seawater samples were filtered on the surface of each station using plankton net number 25. Then, water samples were identified in the Microbiology Laboratory of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The results of identification of phytoplankton in the waters of Watu Lawang, Pasir Putih Beach, Situbondo obtained 4 classes that consisted of Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, and Dinophyceae family. The phytoplankton composition found during the study was dominated by the Bacillariophyceae class. The genus Bacteriastrum sp and Chaetoceros sp were found in all observation stations. The highest phytoplankton abundance was at station IV with an abundance of 1670 cells L-1. And the lowest abundance of phytoplankton was at station I with an abundance value of 730 cells L-1. The diversity of phytoplankton was categorized in the low diversity level (H’<2.3). The Uniformity index value was classified as unstable (0 <E <0.5). Alternatif penanggulangan secara tepat dan tidak menganggu lingkungan yaitu dengan cara menggunakan bakteri yang mampu mendegradasi minyak solar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bakteri yang berpotensi mendegradasi minyak solar di pelabuhan Tanjung Perak dan dapat mengetahui kemampuan isolat bakteri tersebut dalam mendegradasi minyak solar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada pengambilan sampel air laut dan menggunakan metode observasi di laboratorium untuk isolasi bakteri pendegradasi minyak, karakterisasi pengamatan bakteri, dan uji biodegradasi minyak solar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada perairan pelabuhan Tanjung Perak diperoleh tujuh isolat bakteri pendegradasi minyak solar. Lima isolat terdapat pada Stasiun 1, area dimana potensi pencemaran minyak solar lebih tinggi, yaitu genus Pseudomonas, Bacillus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, dan Citrobacter. Dua isolat lainnya yaitu genus Bacillus dan Klebsiella diperoleh dari Stasiun 2. Hasil identifikasi bakteri yang mampu mendegradasi minyak solar secara signifikan adalah konsorsium (isolat campuran pada genus Pseudomonas, Bacillus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter dan Citrobacter) dengan persentase biodegradasi sebesar 94,57%. Pada isolat tunggal, pada Stasiun 1 yang  memiliki persentase biodegradasi tertinggi adalah genus Pseudomonas dan Bacillus dengan persentase biodegradasi masing – masing sebesar 91,94 % dan 89,99%. Pantai Hijau Daun merupakan salah satu pantai yang memiliki keanekaragaman ekosistem laut yang melimpah, salah satunya yaitu lamun (seagrass). Lamun adalah tumbuhan berbunga (Angiospermae) yang hidup pada perairan dangkal dan memiliki banyak manfaat bagi organisme yang hidup di dalamnya. Salah satu organisme laut yang dapat hidup pada ekosistem lamun yaitu makrozoobentos. Makrozoobentos dapat ditemukan pada permukaan maupun di dalam substrat perairan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2019 di Perairan Pantai Hijau Daun Kecamatan Sangkapura Kabupaten Gresik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kondisi kerapatan lamun, kelimpahan makrozoobentos dan hubungan kerapatan lamun dengan kelimpahan makrozoobentos di Perairan Pantai Hijau Daun. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode survay sedangkan penentuan stasiun dan titik pengamatan dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode purposive sampling. Lokasi pengamatan terdiri dari 2 stasiun dengan masing-masing stasiun dibagi menjadi 3 sub stasiun (plot) dan ditarik garis transek tegak lurus garis pantai sepanjang 100 m. Spesies lamun yang ditemukan di Perairan Hijau Daun dapat membentuk vegetasi campuran dengan 4 spesies lamun, diantaranya yaitu : Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea serrulata dan Halophila ovalis yang memiliki tingkat kerapatan lamun yang tinggi. Spesies makrozoobentos yang teridentifikasi dapat meliputi 2 spesies dari kelas Bivalvia dan 6 spesies dari kelas Gastropoda. Fokus penelitian ini adalah identifikasi mangrove dan penilaian total ekonomi mangrove di Desa Banyuurip Kecamatan Ujungpangkah Kabupaten Gresik. Metode pengukuran dan pengambilan data vegetasi mangrove menggunakan metode garis lurus atau transek garis. Nilai ekonomi total dilakukan dengan cara wawancara untuk memperkirakan nilai ekonomi hutan mangrove berupa manfaat langsung, tidak langsung, pilihan, dan keberadaan. Jenis mangrove yang mendominasi di wilayah pesisir Desa Banyuurip yaitu jenis Avicenia marina dengan kerapatan dan tutupan yang baik. Jenis lain yang ditemukan adalah Rhizopora mucronata, Bruguiera silindrica, dan Rhizopora apiculata. Nilai ekonomi total mangrove di wilayah pesisir Desa Banyuurip yaitu Rp. 21.423.890.000,00 yang diperoleh dari (1) manfaat langsung penangkapan kepiting sebesar Rp.1.836.480.000,00, kerang sebesar Rp. 18.534.720.000,00, dan tambak ikan bandeng sebesar Rp. 34.200.000,00; (2) nilai guna tak langsung yang dihitung sebagai penahan abrasi sebesar Rp. 315.353.520,00 per tahun; (3) manfaat pilihan (nilai biodiversitas) sebesar Rp. 1.057.500,00 per tahun; dan (4) nilai keberadaan dari ekosistem mangrove sebesar Rp. 182.400.000,00.","PeriodicalId":298529,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Marine Resources and Coastal Management","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132046899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Maisaroh","doi":"10.29080/mrcm.v1i1.749","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29080/mrcm.v1i1.749","url":null,"abstract":"ABSTRAK \u0000  \u0000Transplantasi karang merupakan salah satu upaya dalam memulihkan kondisi terumbu karang yang semakin mengalami degradasi. Transplantasi dapat dilakukan menggunakan berbagai media, salah satunya adalah dengan kanstin FABA dari limbah padat batu bara fly ash bottom ash yang dihasilkan oleh PLTU Paiton. Fragmen karang batu Acropora spp. ditransplantasikan pada dua kedalaman berbeda. Metode penentuan titik pengamatan menggunakan purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan jarak lokasi transplantasi ke lokasi bibit (± 7 meter). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan membandingkan dua kondisi penelitian, yaitu transplantasi pada kedalaman 6 m dan 8 m dengan 10 fragmen Acropora formosa dan 10 fragmen Acropora intermedia di setiap kedalaman. Pengamatan dilaksanakan setiap dua minggu meliputi faktor oseanografi dan laju pertumbuhan karang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor oseanografi di lapangan menunjukan nilai yang sesuai untuk mendukung pertumbuhan karang. Laju sedimentasi tertinggi terdapat di kedalaman 8 m yaitu sebesar 25,57 mg/cm2/hari yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan mempengaruhi kelimpahan karang. Pengaruh ini dibuktikan adanya kematian Acropora spp. menjadi death coral algae dengan indeks mortalitas sebesar 0,1. Laju pertumbuhan karang transplantasi pada kedalaman 6 m sebesar 2,2 mm/minggu untuk Acropora formosa dan sebesar 3,1 mm/minggu untuk Acropora intermedia, sedangkan kedalaman 8 m Acropora formosa memiliki laju pertumbuhan sebesar 2,0 mm/minggu dan sebesar 2,4 mm/minggu untuk Acropora intermedia. Faktor oseanografi dengan pengaruh dominan terhadap laju pertumbuhan yaitu salinitas dengan koefisien korelasi 0.853 (hubungan searah) dan kedalaman memiliki pengaruh dengan hubungan terbalik yaitu -0.244.
