The main rites hence elucidated are Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage and Burial, distinguishing the ruptures and changes in social and religious context of the individuals analysed. The rites of passage are going to be conceptually based on the field of Anthropology (Rodolpho, 2004). My Name is Khan, a film released in 2010 under the direction of Karan Johar, serves as a panel to illustrate and, through verisimilitude, expose how these processes of curtailing sociological imagination, perspectives and socio-cultural relations can occur within political and economic empires. By telling the fictional story of Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man who suffers from Asperger's Syndrome and tries his luck in the city of San Francisco, the plot demonstrates the rise of prejudice against Arabs, the intensification of religious intolerance against Islam and the exacerbation of American nationalism that occurred after the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Albuquerque, Adma Conceição Danin de Lima","doi":"10.29327/256659.14.2-10","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.29327/256659.14.2-10","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyzes the intellectual production of students of the Sciences of Religion Course at the University of the State of Pará, in particular, that which emerges from the Course Completion Works, from 2004 to 2019. It investigates the privileged themes and the space they occupy the religions of the Amazon in these works. It results from a bibliographic research in the style of studies on the state of knowledge, whose objective is to analyze the intellectual production of a given area of knowledge, in this case the Sciences of Religion. Theoretically, it is based on the ideas of Candau (2003) and Fleuri (2006) on interculturality, understood as a way to build a more democratic society that respects cultural diversity. These governments have broad support from religious groups. In parallel, there is a discrediting of scientific information about environmental threats, especially through the internet. It is proposed that science may have religion as an ally, so it must be demonstrated that religious texts may indicate the need to harmonize with nature, especially in Christian belief groups. Para isso, se torna imperativo entender como esse grupo veio a conquistar a força política que hoje se outorga. Assim, esse trabalho tem como objetivo realizar uma análise histórica da construção da pauta protestante no cenário político brasileiro, relacionando com a questão da laicidade no Brasil. Para isso, se inicia com a discussão sobre a laicidade a partir de autores fundamentais sobre o tema e suas discussões contemporâneas e a particularidade brasileira e, posteriormente, a evolução histórica da pauta evangélica na política brasileira; ambas desenvolvidas através de pesquisa bibliográfica de artigos publicados.
