In this paper, a Multi-ray propagation model for RISs-assisted dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) system is presented and analyzed on street. The 3-D geometry and image techniques in ray tracing are combined to build the proposed model. This method could enhance the ray-tracing algorithm in RISs-assisted communication networks. In addition, the envelope strength of the received signal is analyzed and verified in our experiments by regulating phase of RISs in two cases. Different reflection times on transmitted signal wave bring different envelope strength of the received signal. The simulation results show that different reflection times and adjustment angles directly affect the received signal strength.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122895073","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Medical records are personal data that can only be accessed by authorized personnel. Some problems occur, such as the difficulty in managing files for grouping patients’ medical record data based on specific categories such as the documentation year or patients’ biodata. A large storage area is needed to hold medical record data and the absence of backup data in data storage. Blockchain-based solutions help overcome this problem. Hyperledger Composer is an open and extensive development framework for blockchain systems. Hyperledger Composer allows us to quickly model business networks and integrate them into an application or system that we have created easy and save time. Hyperledger consists of 3 main files, model file, script file, and access control file, which have coding flexibility and are easier to understand. Hyperledger Composer uses the JavaScript language for coding and has a client library for node.js. In this study, we propose a medical record sharing model that combines blockchain with the Hyperledger Composer and conducts a performance evaluation of the implementation. The result shows the increase of transactions during testing in which the system could store data into blocks to record medical transactions.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"93 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115154851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the massive connectivity in mMTC, it is vital to have an efficient random access (RA) protocol. In the paper, we propose a new random access technique called the Adaptive ACB (A-ACB) to minimize collisions. We show that, in terms of successfully resolved probability, the proposed A-ACB always outperforms the ACBPC protocol while surpassing the SUCRe protocol when the number of collisions per preamble is large. In addition, the proposed protocol achieves better fairness than the SUCRe but less than the ACBPC. Finally, numerical results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed random access protocol.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130058959","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meanwhile, the use of chaotic functions and mathematical sequences to administer security has been shown to provide very good results in recent literature. This paper proposes a lightweight image encryption scheme that is based on 3 stages. The first stage incorporates the use of the Lucas sequence, the second stage incorporates the use of an S-box, while the third stage makes use of the Sin Logistic map. Performance evaluation of the proposed encryption scheme indicates great resistivity to various forms of attacks, attained at a low computation cost. This renders the proposed image encryption ideal for real-time applications. Furthermore, a comparison of the proposed scheme with the state-of-the-art indicates its superiority.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134417271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It includes a sensor network for in situ data collection and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)) system for remote sensing. The sensor network uses a number of sensor nodes to measure different parameters of the plants and environment such as temperature, humidity, and nitrogen composition. For data communication, the sensor network uses LoRa, a low-power wide-area network modulation technique, that allows receiving signals from sensor nodes at a distance of up to 450 m for a single receiver. The UAV includes visual and near infrared cameras to collect photos of the field. The data collection is carried out automatically via a path planning process that takes into account the overlapping ratio and resolution of the photos. The data collected is then handled by a cloud server that allows users to access in real time via a web-based application and an application on smartphones. A number of experiments have been conducted with the system being tested in several agricultural sites to evaluate its practical applicability.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131280588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By identifying nuclei, researchers may identify and characterize each cell in a sample. Some models used techniques based on encoder-decoder pairs, such as U-Net, Multi ResUnet, DoubleUnet, and ResUnet++, which have been implemented and deployed on the Data Science Bowl 2018 dataset and given excellent results. However, there is still a semantics gap between the features that directly connect from encoder to decoder in ResUnet++, and the extraction of information on many different regions is still limited. To improve the performance of ResUnet++ in this segmentation task, in this paper, we propose a new architecture that uses Double ResPath (DR), called Double respath Unet (DR-Unet). The DR-Unet architecture retains some advantages that made Resunet++ successful such as residual block associated with a squeeze and excitation block. Besides that, we also pass the encoder features through Respath, which can bridge the semantic gap instead of combining the encoder with the decoder feature straightforwardly. Moreover, we use Progressive Atrous Spatial Pyramidal Pooling, PASPP, to replace ASPP to capture contextual information more efficiently. Experimental results demonstrate that DR-Unet outperforms ResUnet, DoubleUnet, and other models in the benchmark.","PeriodicalId":296963,"journal":{"name":"2021 8th NAFOSTED Conference on Information and Computer Science (NICS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131287030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
