The voltage variations at the PCC under different lengths of submarine cable and various capacities of the studied OWF are also compared. A commercial power-system simulation software of PSS/E is utilized to simulate the voltage-variation results at PCC when the studied OWF with different capacities is connected to one of the selected buses under different lengths of submarine cable. It can be concluded from the simulation results that some buses with strong (weak) strength can exhibit smaller (larger) values on voltage variation at PCC after the studied OWF is connected to Taiwan Power System.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127243443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a load shedding model allowing to make quick decisions of strategy selection, to reduce the decision time, to recovery time and to improve frequency stability compared to traditional methods. The main purpose of the presented coordinated control system is to reduce the recovery time and maintain dynamic stability of power systems. K-means clustering algorithm divided instability mode into clusters. The results of analysis of these clusters were used as the basis for classification control. Load shedding strategies were built consists of pre-designed rules based on AHP algorithm. The load shedding was considered to cut the less important factor loads first for contributing to reduce the damages. The effectiveness of the algorithm was demonstrated through the load shedding experiment on IEEE 39 bus 10 generators compared with traditional methods.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129893736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By using the given mathematical ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and state-space matrix expression in t-domain via the kinematic and dynamic of a quarter two degrees of freedom model, the transfer function is firstly established for its model and the proposed AVSS based PID control is then systematically introduced for enhancing the ride comfort. Moreover, the computer simulation model of the passive and active suspension systems is established for the purpose of having a fair comparison. A various kinds of the road input signals are selected for testing the systems, such as unit step, sine wave, and white noise signals. The simulation results indicate that the performance of proposed AVSS has the significantly improved in terms of reducing the peak overshoot of sprung mass displacement and sprung mass acceleration in compared with the other traditional passive suspension systems.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121882538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, consideration of the Vietnamese consumer perception on this issue has not been introduced in the scholarly study yet as our knowledges. Thus, this study aims at utilizing the questionnaire approach to obtain the consumers' information, and then, the grey model GM(0,N) is applied to determine the major factors of marketing mix impact on Vietnamese's purchase decision who was serviced at western style coffeehouse chains. Based on the data from 176 valid questionnaires among of 220 responses, the results indicated that, five elements of marketing mix significantly impacted to the consumer decision on purchasing coffee beverages. Among them, promotions and products have been evaluated as the crucial factors which factor weightings are 0.3571 and 0.3041, respectively. Follow by, the price (0.1387), place (0.1254) and people (0.0791). This study found that Vietnamese consumers take more considerations on promotions activities and the taste of coffee beverages when purchasing coffee beverages in western style of coffeehouse chains. In spite of that products of coffee beverages with good taste and reasonable price can make consumers have a high level satisfaction and confidence to purchase.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116001622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the survival of patients depends on whether the doctor is right or wrong in diagnosis. While the edges of object in magnetic resonance image (MRI) are important clues, which can make doctors know the problems. In real life, medical images often have low quality, so to find the object boundaries in images is not an easy task. In this paper, a new approach to MRI edge detection issue is shown. Our proposed method includes three stages. Firstly, using the Semi Translation Invariant Contourlet Transform (STICT) to improve quality of the original MRI. Secondly, the result of first stage is subjected to image segmentation by using Fuzzy C Means (FCM) clustering method. Finally, Canny edge detection method is applied to detect the fine edges. The proposed method is better than the other recent methods based on compared results.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126083212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The integrated model is formulated as a block-strict-feedback nonlinear system, in which modeling errors, unmodeled non-linearities, target maneuvers, etc. are viewed as unknown uncertainties. The nonlinear control law is designed based on backstepping and sliding mode control (SMC) techniques. Based on the principle of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC), enhanced feedback linearization (FL) based control law is implemented for the IGC model using the estimates generated by an extended state observer (ESO). The stability analysis of the closed-loop system is also conducted. Simulation results show that, small miss distances and smooth missile trajectories are achieved, and the system is robust against system uncertainties and external disturbances.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125101589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we aim to build a video-based model to mitigate the consequences of fall of the elderly at two application scenarios: (1) predict the fall risk caused by unbalanced gait and (2) detect a fall event as soon as it happens. In the first stage, we use a common camera to capture the video of a person moving such as doing actions or walking. In the second stage, our proposed model for both scenarios follows the same three-module structure: (1) human object segmentation using background subtraction, (2) feature representation using two separate feature descriptors, one for each application scenario, and (3) abnormal event detection based on Hidden Markov Model. The final stage is to convey an SMS message to the pre-defined cell phone number to notify the caregiver of detected anomaly. Experimental results show the promising performance of the proposed model in terms of the acceptable accuracy and the low processing time.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129474879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performance of the types of modern gas turbines could able up to 44%. In specific applications, gas turbines are used for equipment such as electrical generators, aircraft engines, high-speed boat … The applications of gas turbine are used to transmit turbine, cabinet pull in eneral[3],[5],[6],[9],[10],[12],[15]. However, there have been no published works on the use of dual turbine. This paper presents an artificial neural network controller to control Double Differential Gas Turbine (DDGT) by use algorithm to synchronize the speed of two turbines at each variable turbine load to reduce low power balance in the system. From the Rowen's model of control for a turbine, the author analyzed and combined with the existing model to construct a dual turbine combinatorial structure coupled by differential coupling. Model-driven control algorithms are used as training grounds for artificial neural networks (ANNs) to replace traditional PID controllers. Because the double tubine construction is strong nonlinear system, modeling is directly transformed from the object model. Simulation results for a dual-turbine twin-turbine combination of 32MW, demonstrating the suitability of the theory. Simulation results show that ANN can be deployed into practice to replace PID controllers to increase control accuracy.","PeriodicalId":296191,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on System Science and Engineering (ICSSE)","volume":"263 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-07-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121713762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
