Abstract

This paper presents the voltage-variation results at the point of common coupling (PCC) when a high-capacity doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG)-based offshore wind farm (OWF) of 403.2 MW or 288 MW is connected to different buses of the neighboring onshore substation of Taiwan Power System through three or two submarine cables and underground cables. The voltage variations at the PCC under different lengths of submarine cable and various capacities of the studied OWF are also compared.
