In this paper, we have researched the endurance problem of MALE UAVs by casting it as an optimization problem. To tackle this, we have defined an endurance equation for the UAV in terms of the design parameters and then used accelerated particle swarm optimization (APSO) to get the optimal values for the airframe parameters. The considered design parameters are the dimensions of the UAV geometrical components which have been represented in terms of wing span and mean aerodynamic chord. The design constraints are airframe geometry, its dimension and UAV mass. The maritime axis is a strategic idea which embodied to ensure inter-island connectivity, shipping and fishery industries development, marine transportation improvement and focus on maritime security. So maritime monitoring is crucial in order to prevent sea pollution, fish theft, sovereignty offenses, territorial disputes, and piracy. Nowadays, maritime monitoring has been a very interesting issue over the last decade. With the rapid advancement of technology and the Internet, sensor network technology has become very important in monitoring the aquatic environment. Maritime responsibilities, such as vigilance and patrolling, wildlife monitoring, and aqua-culture inspection, mostly require large operational teams and expensive equipment. In this position paper, we study and propose a scheme based on genetic algorithm to deploy nodes in the target area which composed of potentially hundreds sensor nodes. The most substantial electricity generation costs are derived from fuel costs. Among the existing power plants, steam power plants with coal fuel are power plants that supply the most significant electrical energy needs because this type of power plant is very economical and capable of producing high capacity electricity. Behind all that, this steam power plant is a power plant with very high emission factors when compared to other power plants so that it will have an impact on the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to limit the operation of Steam Power Plants by optimising economic deliveries and emissions to get the scheduling of plants with the smallest emission values with minimum operating costs. The simulation results are identical to the Lagrange multiplier method. Back-test shows that the MV portfolios of exchange traded funds can significantly outperform the considered benchmark. It was also observed that MV investors who are leaning more on returns in the return-and-risk tradeoff parameters tend to have superior returns that their risk concerned counterparts. These devices are used as lightwave distributions. This paper reports the optimisation of the S-bend based optical power using Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor on sapphire. The optimisation was conducted by investigating the effect of waveguide parameters on the structure using a finite difference beam propagation method (FD-BPM). The numerical experiment result showed that the proposed optical power splitter could successfully split light into two output branches. The best geometrical values of the splitter were found to be 1500 µm long and 38 µm wide accordingly, with a coupling gap of 7 µm and an offset length of 12 µm. It could split input light into two output branches almost perfectly, with the splitting ratio of 50:50. The propagation of optical field propagation along the structure was uniform. Advances in information technology led to the idea of developing a better and more efficient monitoring system. This paper presents a real time indoor air quality monitoring system based on internet of things using Message Query Telemetry Transport (MQTT). This study focus on development of a real time system to detect parameters from Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) such as temperature, humidity, CO2, and dust, using low cost sensors. then implement it at campus area. Calibration of the nine sensors used in the three sensor nodes were utilized to determine the error value of each sensor. Performance and reliability tests of the three sensor nodes were also done, and the three sensor nodes showed reliable values. The data retrieval process becomes more efficient and faster using MQTT as a communication protocol. Implementing the proposed system in a campus environment showed differences in the value of air quality in different locations and situations. Hybrid power systems with renewable sources can provide potency, reliability, and security while reducing operational costs. It is advantageous to the analyst, even after a detailed solution has been performed. If the detailed stability case at the expected clearing time is unstable, the critical clearing time indicates the improvement necessary to achieve stability. A review of the hybrid power system and a comprehensive analysis of critical clearing time in transient stability assessment are performed and presented here. For elaborated analysis, IEEE 30 bus test power system has been adopted and revised for this distinct study. The modified hybrid power system subsist of the wind turbine, solar PV array with the energy storage mechanism and conventional diesel generators to study the critical clearing time for the transient stability assessment. The hybrid wind-solar-diesel wattage power system was sculptured in ETAP simulation software. However, because of the design of WSN devices with constrained resources; it is a challenge to develop and implement an encryption algorithm that is secure but will not consume much of the devices limited resources. This paper, presents a lightweight encryption based from Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) - LAES. In the proposed cipher, the MixColumns function of original AES is replaced by a 128-bit permutation to lessen the computational complexity of the algorithm and in order to reduce the resource utilization of the WSN node. During synthesis, results have shown that LAES have lesser device utilization as compared to recent implementation of traditional AES. The security of both LAES and AES were tested using the same sets of data to obtain the avalanche effect. Results have shown that on Plaintext bit flip, LAES obtained an average of 53.0469% which is 4.2969% higher than AES. On key bit flip, LAES obtained an average of 50.9375% which 3.4375% higher than AES. The researchers conducted a case study that involved 27,000 information (3000 observations and 9 features) of students' Mock Job Interview Evaluation Results, On-the Job Training (OJT) Student Performance Rating and General Point Average (GPA) of students enrolled in OJT course of School Year 2015 to School Year 2018. Three learning algorithms were used such as Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest (RF), and Support vector machine (SVM) in order to understand how students get employed. The three algorithms were evaluated through the performance matrix as accuracy measures, precision and recall measures, f1-score and support measures. During the experiments Support Vector machine (SVM) obtained 91.22% in accuracy measures which was significantly better than all of the learning algorithms, DT 85%, RF 84%. The learning curve produced during the experiment displays the training error results which were above the one for validation error while the validation curve displays the testing output where gamma was best at 10 to 100 in gamma 5. This concludes that the model produced with SVM was not underfit and over-fit.
