The evaluation of the effectiveness of cooperation between manufacturers and the scientific potential of leading scientists in the development of designs of gas-diesel engines. The requirement of time of increase of ecology of internal combustion engines is proved, the reasons braking mass introduction of gas-diesel engines for transport and technological cars are revealed. The parameter of influence on the thermal load of the piston group in gaseous fuel is allocated. The estimation of constructive perfection of development of system of cooling of the piston of the engine is given. The effects of increased temperature on individual parts of the piston in the form of scrapes, chips, causing failure of the internal combustion engine as a whole are shown. The influence of engine oil quality on the engine operation is revealed. It is proposed to Supplement the design of the internal combustion engine with an oil level control device, developed an algorite and a software product for calculating the residual life of the engine oil on key parameters, with the establishment of the term of their replacement.Methods: the study is based on the analysis of the works of leading domestic and foreign scientists in the field of improving the design of power equipment. In the article, the co-authors propose to integrate additive manufacturing methods into technologies used to produce internal combustion engines, their parts and components, which are temporarily or permanently impossible to import. The co-authors have proven the feasibility of advanced additive technologies in respect of casting molds and castings designated for internal combustion engines. An alloy of cast iron featuring an advanced chemical composition was developed. It enables the use of complex shape castings free from any non-metallic inclusions to produce engine parts and components; these castings demonstrate higher values of strength and wear resistance, they are a must for an internal combustion engine operating in severe conditions. Methods: the chapter “Methods” presents natural gas as the main fuel resource of the Russian Federation. In this regard, the expediency of the use of gas piston and gas turbine installations is emphasized. It is also noted that the gas piston unit (GPU) has the highest efficiency. In confirmation of this statement is a brief calculation of the efficiency of this installation. Results and discussions: this chapter discusses the effectiveness of the use of a gas piston cogeneration plant on the example of a company engaged in the processing of recycled metal. Based on the electricity consumption graph, it shows the uneven use of energy during the day. In accordance with the data obtained, the average load of the GPU and its capacity are determined. Based on the available source data, the calculation of the cost of maintaining the GPU and the production of electrical and thermal energy. Also in the chapter “Results and Discussions” it is emphasized that in developing the prozhect, it is necessary to involve the design organization, which will make a complete survey of the obzhect, study the annual energy consumption graphs, determine the necessary equipment and the volume of construction and installation work. At the same time, this chapter focuses on the fact that additional savings are provided by attracting leasing equipment purchase schemes. Materials and methods: theory of large systems, queueing theory, Wald, savage, Hurwitz, Laplace methods, mathematical analysis. Results: it is proposed to apply a generalized cost indicator as an optimization criterion. The mechanism of complex mechanization of the choice of technical means of providing is accepted key at technological implementation of construction projects. The flexibility of the proposed approach in varying the factors of influence, conventionally representing the energy, resource and other characteristics of mechanization. Over time, most of these boards have ceased to be suitable for navigation and can not be repaired, and modern shipyards and shipyards are unable to use and service new ships designed for the domestic fleet. In view of this, there is a discrepancy between the number of required boards and the volume of orders from shipbuilders. The new brand of a foreign manufacturer's engines using on dry cargo and bulk ships of the previous generation significantly reduces the operating costs and repairing diesel engine’s costs, and also increases their service life. The comparison of the aggregates used at this moment and the model under consideration is made and a conclusion is made about the expediency of using the proposed engine for the purpose the Russian shipbuilding’s and ship repair’s long-term development.
