The investigation was carried out from the viewpoint of LIS community in Nigeria using a web-based survey questionnaire and interview. Certified librarians in Nigeria constitute the unit of analysis; their population stood at 6,504, and only 369 participants completed the survey, followed by interviews with five professors from library schools in Nigeria. The result from findings indicated that from the six variables raised on the implications of knowledge management on library and information science education, only two variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=3.98) benchmark, the need for KM competencies to be fully integrated into the LIS curriculum score the highest mean score (X=4.46), followed by the need for the LIS curriculum to keep changing to accommodate new development in KM. It also manifested in the study that the current curriculum did not adequately equip LIS professionals for knowledge management practice. More so, knowledge management can be treated as a separate course on its own and as well be integrated into the existing library and information science courses. From the seven knowledge management concepts and themes raised, only four variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=4.32) benchmark, interpersonal relationship leads the pact with a mean score (X=4.39), followed by research and evaluation with a mean score (X=4.38), knowledge management tools, technics and technologies with a mean score (X=4.36) and lastly leadership and managerial role with a mean score (X=4.35). Also from the four variables raised on responsibilities of LIS schools, two of the variables score above the Mean Variable Score (X=4.4) benchmark, need for LIS schools to train and retrain LIS educators score the highest mean score (X=4.45) followed by the need for LIS schools to collaborate with other allied disciplines in the design and training of LIS professionals for KM with a mean score (X=4.4). This implies that effective training and education for KM calls for cooperation and collaboration among different academic units.","PeriodicalId":292564,"journal":{"name":"INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND COMPUTER SCIENCE","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116793611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Widodo, Toebagus Galang, Sapto Budoyo","doi":"10.26480/imcs.01.2021.26.30","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26480/imcs.01.2021.26.30","url":null,"abstract":"The administration of courts in Indonesia adheres to Article 2 paragraph (4) of Law no. 48 of 2009 concerning Judicial Power where the implementation of the court must be fast, and low cost. In the government’s effort to make this happen, an online court system, known as E-Court, is created in which presents four E-Court features, namely E-Filing, E-Skum, E-Payment and E-Summons. The implementation of the E-court, which is under the auspices of the Supreme Court Regulation No. 3 of 2018, according to the author, is still doubtful because the drastic changes from the previous court service system which were completely offline but now must be done online certainly lead to a separate polemic which is not impossible to actually slow down the course of the court. Based on that the authors intend to conduct a study that examines the effectiveness of E-court. The study was conducted using an empirical juridical approach method, which is descriptive in which the source of research relies on data taken in the field where in this case the authors chose to conduct research in the Semarang City District Court and religious court supported by relevant literature analyzed using triangulation of data to obtain results. The results showed that the implementation of e-Court in Semarang was still not effective as based on the data obtained from 2016-2019 there is no significant increase to the applicant who registered their case. The E-Court still need many improvements including adding the possibility to integrate the e-court system into criminal court. However, before going to achieve that there is but a large task that needs to be completed for the supreme court as an institution which oversees all courts in Indonesia and that is to increase socialization not only for advocates but also court employees and the community as potential users of the application so that the implementation of e-court can run effectively.","PeriodicalId":292564,"journal":{"name":"INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND COMPUTER SCIENCE","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131453026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is caused by the female Anopheles mosquitoes which transmit Plasmodium falciparum into human blood and result in high fever or sudden death. Based on this study, people from the less developed region have poor hygiene and sanitation that contributed to the spread of the vector causing malaria. In this study, geospatial techniques were applied to collect the samples, about 125 samples were collected. The GPS capture was employed using the satellite image to georeference the area study. The data obtained are of four types; the National Health Management Information System (NHMIS, National Malaria Elimination Programme; Malaria Health Product-Daily Consumption Register, Minjibir General Hospital (Federal Ministry of Health), Sample Field Survey (Questionnaire) and Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA). The results indicated that over 26.4% of children are vulnerable to malaria, 24.8% of infants and 24% of adults. The overall analysis of the 5 villages including minjibir Gari surveyed have 84% of people tested positive with plasmodium falciparum in their blood and a few over 16% were tested with a negative reaction.","PeriodicalId":292564,"journal":{"name":"INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND COMPUTER SCIENCE","volume":"54 10","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132501423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this research, descriptive method and inferential method were used. The researcher gathered information from 10 members, 3 suppliers and 9 from the management of the Luntian Multipurpose Cooperative for a total of twenty-two (22) respondents. The questionnaires were directly administered and retrieved from the respondents. The data collected were gathered and analyzed using the percentage, frequency distribution and weighted mean. The study revealed that the factors that gained the lowest ratings were the location where to order/purchase, new product development, space utilization, accurate inventory information, inventory location (proper shelving) and machine efficiency. In the problems encountered, the researcher recommends that Luntian MPC should solicit suggestions from their customers and members on how to innovate and further improve the cooperative operations according to their needs. The following are the suggestions given by the customers: to have branches in different places, to standardize the processes in the supply chain management processes, to ensure the reliability of the supplier, to have automated machines, to initiate activity for suppliers, members and management that will build rapport and trust within the cooperative and lastly, to purchase a vehicle for the delivery of the products to provide better service and ease to their customers.","PeriodicalId":292564,"journal":{"name":"INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND COMPUTER SCIENCE","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116074126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
