The resulting classes should distinguish EEG impulse artifacts, epileptic EEG, EMG activity, normal EEG and many more. The classified EEG graphoelements are visualized in the original multi-channel EEG recording by coloring the EEG grapho-elements itselves according to the class they belong to. The temporal profiles of the EEG recording are plotted. The whole procedure of classification begins with adaptive segmentation of EEG graphoelements and feature extraction followed by classification. This data processing approach ends in colored graphoelements according to class directly in the EEG recording, which is suggested to the electroencephalographer for more effective multi-channel EEG analysis.","PeriodicalId":291361,"journal":{"name":"2015 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115449309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The database built for this study consists of 30 flavonoids with antiproliferative activity against human colorectal carcinoma HT-29. Fifteen of them, representing the class A, have intense anti-invasive activity (EC50 <; 100 μM). The rest of the compounds, representing the class LA, have low anti-invasive activity (100 μM <; EC50 <; 200 μM). In order to compute the main molecular descriptors characterizing these molecules, their geometries were fully optimized by using the AM1 semi-empirical method. The molecular descriptors have been used as input variables for Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The most relevant molecular descriptors for classifying of studied flavonoids according to the intensity of their anti-invasive activity, i.e. compounds with intense anti-invasive activity and compounds with low anti-invasive activity, have been identified based on the loadings of these variables determined for the first principal component.","PeriodicalId":291361,"journal":{"name":"2015 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125218099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its goal is to study and to obtain a simple tool that can be used in recordings validation in the process of building large voice corpora. The tools can help or even replace the human validation. In this study we used two classifiers, k-NN (k - Nearest Neighborhood) and SVM (Support Vector Machines), and seven different sets of feature vectors based on F0 formant values. After a small introduction, the database and the feature vectors are presented. Commonly used evaluation measures, including Recall, Precision, Accuracy, MCC (Matthews correlation coefficient), computed from the confusion matrix obtained in emotion recognition are then enumerated. Next, there are presented and discussed the achieved results, that can be used in a large variety of possible applications. The presented work is validated by the human validation already done on SRoL corpus.","PeriodicalId":291361,"journal":{"name":"2015 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127277656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is suitable to solve these sorts of problems by treating these monthly reports as time series and making forecasts through the modelling methods of Time Series Analysis. Our paper propose this approach in making forecasts about the expected number of 4 types of oro-maxillo-facial traumas at patients from Iasi, during a period of 8 months (May 2015-December 2015) based on 11 years records made within the Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery Clinic, \"Sf. It is important to evaluate the function of the anal sphincter, as it can dictate the surgical treatment that is applied to the patient. The main issue that arises is the large variability of results, related to the operator-linked bias, as well as the different types of equipment that are used. Standardization is required. The studies in literature lack homogeneity, as some studies show there is a link between neoadjuvant therapy and anal incontinence, whereas others say there is no relation, while others even show the benefic effect on the short term of neoadjuvant radiation therapy on anal sphincter function. There is also the issue of long-term results and follow-up. In the instance of a \"sphincter-saving\" intervention, evaluation of the tonicity of the anal sphincter is important, as it can dictate between choosing a colorectal/coloanal anastomosis and realizing a terminal colostomy.","PeriodicalId":291361,"journal":{"name":"2015 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB)","volume":"142 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123438826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The signal recorded by the accelerometers has a similar morphology respect to the ballistocardiographic signal (BCG). This preliminary study was conducted on one healthy volunteer, with the ECG signal simultaneously acquired as reference. Systolic waves (H, I and J) on the longitudinal (head-foot) acceleration component were automatically detected and used to compute the beat-to-beat duration series (HH, II and JJ). Correlation and Bland-Altman analysis were used to test their accuracy against conventional RR series extracted from the ECG. All series showed high correlation and accuracy with RR, with best results obtained for JJ series (r2>0.90 CI = ±25 ms), despite the limited time resolution of the accelerometric signal. Smartphone's SCG-derived beat-to-beat quantification of heart rate appears feasible and accurate, thus opening new possibilities in using this signal for self-monitoring.","PeriodicalId":291361,"journal":{"name":"2015 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122938976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
