We use the Modern Portfolio Theory and mean-variance analysis to analyze pension fund investment. We select data of pension fund assets in eight countries: Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and the United State, Indonesia, Kenya, Thailand and Mexico from 2001 to 2017 from the OECD. With a comparison between countries, we find that there is a large gap between developed countries and developing countries. Value of pension assets in developed countries is significantly larger than that of developing countries, where the United States has an overwhelming superiority. However, developing countries have a higher average rate of return, which shows a strong growing tendency. Through analysis in average rate of return and standard deviation, we find that most countries have relatively high average return with relatively high volatility. Based on the mean-variance model, we make portfolios of pension fund assets among countries with different weights on each country and obtain an efficient","PeriodicalId":288817,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The International Academic Conference on Management and Economics","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125533026","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was used to present the institutional potential structure and to assess the level of institutional development in selected municipal offices in Poland. The results of pilot studies have shown that the institutional potential of the studied municipal offices is low and comes down to activities related to the preparation of procedures necessary to achieve public goals. Raising institutional potential is related to the development and implementation of procedures supporting the functioning of management areas in local government units. System support should be associated with the comprehensive implementation of evaluation and monitoring of the office's activities as well as actions improving its functioning.","PeriodicalId":288817,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The International Academic Conference on Management and Economics","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127446271","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigator feels that consumers in this age group ranged are satisfied with counterfeit luxury brands. Design/methodology/approach – The current study tests the conceptual model and all three hypotheses developed based on the existing literature. The current research is based on existing literature testing conceptual models and assumptions. Analyze variables using semi-structured interview methods. Conceptual models and hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis of survey data from 197 eligible investigators. Findings – The research results show that the counterfeit luxury brand knowledge of counterfeit luxury brands are related to consumers' satisfaction with counterfeit luxury brands, and ultimately lead to customers' satisfaction with counterfeit luxury brands. Brand awareness has no significant relationship with consumers' attitudes toward counterfeit luxury brands. Brand image and consumers satisfaction have a significant impact on counterfeit luxury brands. Research limitations/implications – 80% of the data collected in this study came from Chinese consumers, not enough to represent the characteristics of the entire millennial population, although this did not prevent the emergence of significant results. Another 20% comprising multi-nationalities.","PeriodicalId":288817,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The International Academic Conference on Management and Economics","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121065391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the Zoomlion Alliance Africa (2017 Index Report) close to 900,000MT of both Solid and Liquid wastes are generated per each Cosmopolitan region half yearly. These wastes are left to the dictates of nature which add up to the ongoing climatic changes in the form of rise in sea levels as 70% of these waste materials find their route into sea bodies. Waste (also known as rubbish, refuse, garbage) is unwanted or useless materials. Solid wastes are from municipal, industrial, and agricultural activities. However, any refuse or waste can be an economic resource to others depending on the application of the rightful technologies with Waste to Energy Technology (WTE) as the most tried and tested in the Asian Regions. Waste is just value that we are too stupid not to use (Albert Einstein). Solid waste (SW) is an environmental and public health problem. There is a sustainable management method for Solid Waste. Uncontrolled landfill gases have negative health impacts on the local populace. Sorting Solid Waste increases its ability to be repurposed. Solid Waste is a cost-effective renewable energy source. Examples of Solid Waste includes Wood residuals from lumber mills (off-cuts, sawdust), Expired trees, Agricultural waste and Sorted municipal wastes (plastic, paper). Project assumptions of setting up a successful Waste to Energy Technology is estimated at an Installed capacity cost of: $4,500,000 Includes equipment, shipping, customs and installation, Annual Operations and Administrative cost of $250,000. The Project useful lifetime is 20 years, Electricity generation: 7,560 MWh, Price of 1kWh to national grid = USD 0.15 and the Cost of acquiring 1kWh worth of waste = USD 0.01. These facts make Waste to Energy Technologies not only reliable but cost effective and efficient.","PeriodicalId":288817,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The International Academic Conference on Management and Economics","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115757236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
