Flux paths on the rotor are widened while narrowing down the shaft of the motor on the q-axis to improve the motor efficiency. By using this method, a wider path is created for the flux in the d-axis. As a result, the inductance in the d-axis, the ratio of inductance between the d-axis and q-axis (referred to as saliency ratio), and the difference in inductance between the d-axis and q-axis are all amplified. To evaluate the structural strength of the machine, a series of analyses are conducted, including modal, harmonic, and static examination on the rotor using ANSYS Structural. The findings indicate that to prevent redundant deformations and undesirable vibrations because of resonance, the maximum safe limit for shaft size reduction is determined as 8 mm.","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131335149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach favors a qualitative assessment over a quantitative system study. We observe two problems, guided by examples on a minimal system, with parallels on the IEEE 14-bus system: underreported Thevenin impedance, resulting in an overestimation of the maximum power transfer, and overcorrected load transfer from the load bus to the critical bus. We conclude that these difficulties need to be addressed for a comprehensive solution.","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"1975 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130219550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is a total of17 design variables (features) during the design process. The objective of the feature selection in the transformer design problem is to reduce computational complexity and improve the manufacturing process. The Equilibrium optimization (EO) algorithm is applied to solve the feature selection (FS) problem by minimizing the regression error with fewer numbers of features as compared to the regression with the original dataset. The results of the study reveal that out of the 17 design variables, six features have the highest priority and level of importance in the design process, while six features have less importance and can be set to a constant value.","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130326800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is vulnerable to adversarial attacks (AA) that are associated with the incorporated artificial intelligence (AI) functionality in 6G wireless communication systems/networks. The hazardous threat can compromise communications’ confidentiality and integrity due to the expected infrastructure, features, and AI models of the 6G paradigm. This paper proposed a deep autoencoder (DAE)-based 6G CE model to detect and prevent AA. It was trained using a dataset generated from the MATLAB toolbox for AA and incorporated a secure transmission protocol. Simulations were conducted to evaluate the model’s performance under different parameters (i.e., CE and DAE) with maximal epsilon values range (0.5-3.0). The results proved the model’s sufficiency of accuracy and security to detect AA compared to existing CE techniques. The proposal provided a promising solution for a secure 6G DAE-based CE and showed robustness against AA. Additionally, it offered a feasible solution for the deep learning training data required and avoids overfitting. Overall, the proposed model provides a valuable contribution towards enhancing the security of 6G networks, and its performance should be further validated in real-world scenarios.","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128638240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to achieve these targets, power generation from renewable energy sources has been attracting attention. Although Photovoltaics (PV) are easier to install than other renewable energy sources, it creates a problem known as the duck curve phenomenon. To solve this problem, various load controls need to be introduced to operate with less fluctuation in load demand. This paper performs a multi-objective optimization of future grid operation by introducing BESS(Battery Energy Storage System), ADLC (Advanced Direct Load Control), and V2H (Vehicle to Home) load control. This simulation was performed using the epsilon constraint method with MILP in Matlab for multi-objective optimization. The results show that the introduction of multiple load controls can mitigate the duck curve phenomenon and optimize both operating costs and CO2","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117010923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Models of functional dependencies of active power losses on nominal current for low voltage switching devices of some manufacturers were developed. Approximation functions of these characteristics have been compiled and the value of determination coefficient of the obtained functions of active losses and approximation error have been calculated. Graphical presentations of the investigated parameters of low-voltage equipment are shown in relation to the commutated variables.","PeriodicalId":288300,"journal":{"name":"2023 5th Global Power, Energy and Communication Conference (GPECOM)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126795262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
