The antenna consists of finite ground plane(27.62×22.52 mm2) with dumbbell like slots on the patch with size of 22.82×17.72 mm2 fed by 50O microstrip feed line. This antenna is realized on FR4 epoxy substrate with permittivity 4.4 and loss tangent of 0.002.It has desired antenna characteristics such as return loss better than 10dB, VSWR, gain and radiation pattern at the specified resonant frequencies. The B.W of antenna (band1-31.1%, band2-24%) is greatly improved by optimizing the width and length of the slots. Commercially available IE3D software has been used to design and simulate the structure. The proposed structure is simple and takes lesser optimization time. It has been shown that the structure provides about 43.63% compactness compared to the conventional branch line coupler. Si nanorod solar cells have not only shown an improvement in the device performance but are also compatible with the existing silicon process technology. In this work, we have developed a new device model for radial p-n junction silicon nanorod solar cell with a pyramidal structure between two nanorods. Efficiency of cell is studied by changing the different cell parameters and a nonlinear variation is obtained in most of the cases. Efficiency increases when length, reflectivity and angle of inclination increase. When the D/P ratio of the nanorod increases, efficiency increases initially and after some particular value it saturates. The classification by means of polarimetric data could be enhanced by fusing it with statistical information, but labeling of different classes is still a challenge. So, in this paper, probability density function based approach has been proposed for identification of different classes of land cover. Land cover is classified into four classes using polarimetric indices information and then six probability density functions are applied on each of the classes. Chi-Squared goodness of fit (GoF) test has been used for selecting best-fit density function for each of the classes. The boundaries of the classes were estimated using scale and location parameter of the best-fit density function. Ram","doi":"10.1109/ICMAP.2013.6733506","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICMAP.2013.6733506","url":null,"abstract":"In this investigation, to tailor functional properties we explore a partial Zn<sup>2+</sup> → Li<sup>+</sup>Fe<sup>3+</sup> substitution in a series Li<sub>0.5(1-x)</sub>Zn<sub>x</sub>Fe<sub>(2.5-x/2)</sub>O<sub>4</sub> (x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.8) via a citrate-gel combustion method using metal nitrates, citric acid, and ethylene glycol at a low temperature ~90 °C. A typical sample, at x = 0.3, annealed at 400 °C for 2 h offers a ferrimagnetic hysteresis loop with a high saturation magnetization of 52.4 emu/g and a large coercivity of 138 Oe at 100 K in a low magnetic field ± 500 Oe. The magnetization value has decreased to ~17.8 emu/g (with 4 Oe coercivity) in a sample with higher Zn<sup>2+</sup>-content (x = 0.8). FESEM images describe homogeneous distribution of crystallites average 26 nm diameter. The present paper, aside considering the influence of a forcing signal, discusses the effect of amplitude modulated synchronizing signal on LIMO and the corresponding AM-PM conversion for the injection synchronized LIMO is studied in detail. In contradistinction to the previous works [1-9], three interesting results are reported in this paper, viz., (1) Modified Barkhausen criterion, resulting in the dependence free running frequency of oscillation on the loop-delay, (2) when the modulation index is small, the oscillator output is amplitude modulated wave both in the electrical and optical domain with almost no distortion; (3) oscillator output is modulation free when the carrier strength is small in comparison to that of the free-running oscillator. Comparing the experimentally obtained results with the existing theoretical model, the growth regime of such heterogeneous nucleation has been predicted. The estimation of the height of the QDs has been made from the dot height distribution of Atomic Force Microscopy, and it has been related to the growth rate. The experimental results establish the growth regime as mass transfer limited. Fitting the experimental data, the growth rates have been found to be in the mass transfer limited region.
