While relating to PwDs, subjects with no disability have higher emotional distress and physiological arousal, less verbal behavior variability, less motoric activity, and dismiss connections sooner than once relating with their counterparts who do not have a disability. The origins of negative attitudes toward PwDs, Hotels that provide services to people with disabilities help to develop a positive image for the organization while also lowering the customer rate. The hospitality industry understands the importance of projecting a positive image and influencing client behavior. As a result, we analyze the impact of services provided to PwDs on perceptions of customer of quality service in the hotel business, utilizing principles from service quality research. Survey design with quantitative approach was employed. The research covered all customers who visit hotels and restaurants in Kwadaso Municipality of Ashanti Region, Ghana. The study’s sample size was obtained after the data collection. Hence, convenient sampling technique was used. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire. SPSS was used for the analysis of the results. This research is aimed at assessing management effectiveness and also tourist satisfaction in private nature reserves within urban area of Lagos State, Nigeria. Rapid Assessment and Prioritization of Protected Area Management (RAPPAM) methodology was adapted and administered to managers working at LCC and LUFASI nature reserves. Two hundred and three (203) respondents (tourists) were selected for both LCC (113) and LUFASI (90). Tourists were satisfied with the experience they had from their tour. Legal security, staffing, Communication & Information, Infrastructure, finances, Research monitoring & evaluation and outputs were significant (p ≤0.05) indicators between the context in the two reserves. Control of pressures and threat in the two-nature reserve are adequately carried out. However, threat recorded as a result of negative impact of tourist activities such as camping, motorized vehicle use and other types of recreational activities can be managed through development of tourist policy and constant monitoring especially during peak periods of the year which is as a result of high influx of tourists. Site design and planning of the reserves is consistent with the objectives of the reserve, which optimizes conservation of biodiversity. A significant difference between management effectiveness of LCC and LUFASI was obtained (t= 2.79 p= 0.01). We therefore recommend that more private organizations and individuals should consider investing in establishment of nature reserves.","PeriodicalId":286286,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Studies","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127068974","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper examines the roles of tourism authorities in the Arab region in managing and marketing tourists’ destinations drawing upon the case of Saudi Arabia. The later represents a special case worth of study because it is undergoing a transition from purely religious to leisure tourism phases. Some of its most remarkable and historic lighthouses and beacons have been characterized as “Monuments of Modern Cultural Heritage” and are available to the public for small-scale, non-profit cultural uses. An increasing number of activities have taken place at or near lighthouses for the past decade, but lighthouse enthusiasts are convinced that such events could be organized on a more frequent and regular basis. Lighthouses are delicate albeit multifaceted structures that attract people seeking sophisticated and solitary experiences beyond the mass tourism realm. Since the practical significance of lighthouses is declining due to advances in navigation technology, their cultural worthiness is rediscovered and utilized in many tourism development plans across the world. This paper aims at suggesting an innovative and sustainable framework for the tourist valorization of Greek traditional lighthouses that is respectful of their inherent tangible and intangible values. The historical background explaining the cultural heritage Greek lighthouses represent, as well as national legislation restrictions regarding their management, are discussed and taken into account.","PeriodicalId":286286,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Studies","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130489125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Meeting the demands of the tourism clientele is an essential component to yield these desired economic benefits. However, African countries such as Lesotho are missing out on the tourism economic benefits as evidenced by the rankings provided by the Travel and Tourism Competitive Index reports since 2007. This research therefore examines the perspectives of tourists towards the services offered by the private service providers in Lesotho with the aim of identifying weaknesses prohibiting Lesotho to be a competitive tourist destination. Qualitative research approach was adopted to guide this study where in-depth interviews were conducted with both international and domestic tourists. A constant comparative method of data analysis was utilised to analyse the collected primary data. The findings of the study indicated that tourists are dissatisfied with car/taxi hire, accommodation, restaurants, retail shops, and bus transport service quality. The study provided some strategies to improve service offered by the sectors under investigation.","PeriodicalId":286286,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Studies","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128843134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
