One reason is that all interactions have not been discovered, the main reason, though, is that the involved processes interact in a very complicated manner with nonlinear feedback. Such complex feedback mechanisms can be easily addressed by mathematical modeling. This paper contains a review of the mathematical modeling of cell interaction with extracellular matrix components during the process of dermal wound healing with focusing on remodeling phase. The models are of partial differential equation type and solved by finite element method.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128900436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this, we need to develop an integrated system model, together with associated sub-system interfaces. This links the low-level wireless/wired systems monitoring with multi-level control, building information management and user-preference inputs. In this paper we describe an integrated simulation platform that partially fulfils such objectives. We detail through a case study an integrated simulation platform allowing testing, refinement and optimization of the design at an early stage. The paper provides a detailed simulation results and outlines the future works.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133701728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mechanisms for some interactions between these factors are still unknown, presenting a barrier for scientists intending to model wound healing using an object-based programming approach. In this method, subjectwares a vest with the spring coil on the inner side. Therefore, it is compressed by inspiration or prolonged by expiration. This change in length of the spring coil can be detected as change in electrical inductance of the coil. Based on this principle, we made a monitoring system of respiration. This system has three detecting positions, that is, the chest, abdomen, and back. Monitoring experiments of breath timing were performed for some healthy subjects. As results, this sensing system is able to detect the breath timings of subject sleeping on the back or abdomen and to check the sleeping position on the abdomen or back, simultaneously. It was confirmed that this system can also detect the paradoxical breathing in which phase of movement of the abdomen is opposite to that of the chest.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"189 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121851643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In these systems a huge size of data or computation is distributed between many systems for getting better performance. Dividing data is one of the challenges in parallel and distributed system. One of proposed method for managing data distribution is called Divisible Load Theory (DLT). Ten reasons for using DLT have been mentioned. Many researches have been done in this field from 1988 to now. One or some of characteristics of DLT have been attended in each research and some of researchers proposed new parameters. We believe all the researches can be categorized in ten categories based on ten reasons for using DLT presented by Robertazzi. For a novice researcher in this field, it is necessary to know important parameters and previous researches so in this paper we present some of earlier researches in ten categories.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121136676","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under the LDA approach, non-conjugate distribution is used to fit the frequency and severity. One of the problems relative to the non-conjugate distribution is difficult to estimate the parameter. Then the Bayesian MCMC approach is brought forward. The Bayesian is implemented to obtain the posterior of non-conjugate distribution, the MCMC algorithm is employed to estimate the posterior parameters. The Bayesian MCMC framework is strongly recommended in the operational risk management as it incorporate internal and external loss data observations in combination with expert opinion. A numerical example is constructed to illustrate the performance of the framework advocated by this paper.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121371748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The coordinated scheduling problem of production and transportation operations deals with sequencing job transportation and combining the jobs into batches. For the problem with minimizing the makespan and total setup cost, Tang and Gong [1] proved that this problem is strongly NP-hard. This paper presents two genetic algorithm (GA) approaches with different results representation for this scheduling problem. Experimental results demonstrate that the regular GA and modified GA (MGA) can find near-optimal solutions in an acceptable amount of computational time. Among these metaheuristic approaches, MGA is superior to the GA in terms of both the computing time and solution quality.","PeriodicalId":286158,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology - Spring Conference","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115246097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
