Grounding their metal supports is, generally, considered an effective means of protection of the structure against the effects of lightning strokes, eventually \"attracted\" by the antennae themselves. The antenna's mast and the down conductor are incorrectly assumed capable of safely draining to ground the lightning current flowing at the point of strike. The design has to be comprehensive and adaptable during the overall operational life cycle of the system, looking for the best methodologies and the most complete information. Safety configurations and accurate plans allow a guaranteed risk reduction so that in contingencies a competent operator can operate the power system properly. The authors suggest transitions maps for assisting the elaboration of the procedures from a set of a power system to another one and for helping the training of operators. In human reasoning and multi-modal information processing, the diagrams offer a visual clarity in examining spatial constraints and in recognizing correct inferences. In fact, an interval of self-extinguishing arc fault is marked in the plane of the elliptical orbits as edge between continuous and pulsating prospected behavior. The arc ignition introduces generally an asymmetry for the first half cycle of the invariant time evolutions. The arc current model is obtained as an extension of bolted short-circuit analysis: in a simplified approach the waveform of the arc voltage is limited to the fundamental harmonic. Solar panels characteristics depend on environmental conditions (insolation level, temperature and etc.). In this paper, design and simulation of fuzzy-based MPPT for the body mounted solar panel in a LEO satellite are presented. To show how good the proposed technique is; we applied it into a real system. Simulation results show that the proposed fuzzy-based MPPT ensures a more generated power so that the size of solar panel can be decreased. We used Matlab-Simulink environment for the purpose of simulation. The critical loads sensitive to voltage sags in the plant have been identified from actual system fault contingencies. The power quality of these loads is enhanced by quickly islanding the subsystem with cogeneration units before tripping of the tie line with external Taipower system. According to the transient stability analysis of the rest of the industrial power system nearby Taipower network, the critical loads non-sensitive to voltage sags are isolated from external system faults in time to restore the system stability with the execution of proper load shedding. To ensure the normal operation of critical voltage sensitive load by considering the voltage tolerance curves, the proper relay settings for tie line tripping of the internal subsystem has been determined. In this paper, the stability issue of the power HIL simulation is first introduced with a simple example. A stability analysis and accuracy estimation method based on the system's loop transfer function is later given. Five different interface algorithms are described and their respective characteristics with respect to the system stability are compared. Through Matlab simulations and field experiments of two representative power HIL examples, it is revealed that certain interface algorithms exhibit higher stability and accuracy than the others under the given conditions. The methodology is implemented by utilizing specialized tools for calculating substation reliability, estimating economical efficiency and ranking substation alternatives. Depending of the industrial customer's preferences, different substation configurations, based on different technologies, can be modeled and analyzed. At the end, the proposed substation alternatives can be subjectively ranked by the customer using a ranking tool. A systematic procedure utilizing multi-objective value hierarchy is applied to make the final decision. A combination of \"hard\" attributes (usually presented in dollars) and \"soft\" attributes (subjective and difficult to express in numbers) are used for this purpose. The proposed methodology is applied for typical industrial substations. The results show the impact of combined criteria like the life cycle cost together with the customer's preferences on selecting reliable and economically efficient industrial substations.
