In this paper, we propose a method of services intelligent cooperative work for requirements based on integrated planning. The method gets requirements and domain knowledge based on domain ontology, builds a logical process using HTN planning based on the information that has been gotten before, and selects an instance of web service for every node in the logical process to meet the requirements. The selection of web services is represented by first-order logic satisfiability-based planning problem. We use hill climbing algorithm to solve this problem.","PeriodicalId":284323,"journal":{"name":"2009 Joint Conferences on Pervasive Computing (JCPC)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133000491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of vulnerable adjustment is to protect some important areas, named TBP (to-be-protected) areas in the paper, from being attacked. In the paper, Voronoi diagram is utilized to find a vulnerable path, which is a path that an intruder may pass through. While the vulnerable path passes over a TBP area, a backward tracing and critical sets selection schemes are used to move the fewest number of sensors such that the vulnerable path can be changed and the new vulnerable path will not pass over the TBP area. Moreover, a moving schemes is proposed to decide where mobile sensors shall move. Since sensor movement is the major resource of energy consumption, thus, in order not to cause much movement, the proposed mechanism can move the fewest number of sensors with the shortest distance. Simulation results also verify the advantages of the proposed mechanism.","PeriodicalId":284323,"journal":{"name":"2009 Joint Conferences on Pervasive Computing (JCPC)","volume":"37 8","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133170972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly, query rewriting techniques for processing complex query which can cause ambiguities and redundant query cost, have been proposed to simplify query and remove its redundancy. However, less attention has been paid to make use of query rewriting to benefit the query evaluation process of an efficient XML data stream query system. In this paper, we propose a normalization process which rewrites the Forward XPath expressions for our XML data stream query system. The proposed normalization is expected to normalize all the complex predicates connected with logic operators into twig structures. As a result, the formal way of the normalization makes the query language of our XML data stream query system more precise and the generated twig structure facilitates the query evaluation of our query system.","PeriodicalId":284323,"journal":{"name":"2009 Joint Conferences on Pervasive Computing (JCPC)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114229541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a first step towards realizing the overall activity broker architecture, we present our solution algorithms to the real-time context activity scheduling problem. Furthermore, we conduct extensive experiments to evaluate and to compare the performance of the proposed algorithms. Following the humanoid soccer robot basic movement and strategy actions, the robot is operated in a dynamic and unpredictable contest environment and must recognize the position of itself in the field all the time. Therefore, the localization system of the soccer robot becomes the key technology to improve the performance. This work proposes efficient approaches for humanoid robot and uses one landmark to accomplish the self-localization. This localization mechanism integrates the information from the pan/tilt motors and a single camera on the robot head together with the artificial neural network technique to adaptively adjust the humanoid robot position. The neural network approach can improve the precision of the localization. The experimental results indicate that the average accuracy ratio is 88.5% under frame rate of 15 frames per second (fps), and the average error for the distance between the actual position and the measured position of the object is 6.68cm.","PeriodicalId":284323,"journal":{"name":"2009 Joint Conferences on Pervasive Computing (JCPC)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126863892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The advantage of flexibility facilitates the prevalence of virtual organizations in business, government, educational and many applications. However, the traditional project management technology will not satisfy the need of virtual organizations since the virtual organizations requires rapid deployment and have information sharing needs that cross traditional organizational boundaries. Accordingly, consistently describing the distributed project resources becomes rather important in project management for virtual organizations. Thus, we proposed the context-oriented approach to achieve the purpose. Also, emphasizing the relationships among resources is such critical in the work to identify the connection within the distributed resources. The advantage is valuable for a project manager to find the right person and the right resources for a project even in the communication-deficient virtual environment. Consequently, context-oriented model delivering the concrete description for distributed project resources is helpful for facilitating project management in virtual organizations.","PeriodicalId":284323,"journal":{"name":"2009 Joint Conferences on Pervasive Computing (JCPC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126294717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
