OA usually occurs late in life and mainly it affects the hand and large weight-bearing joints such as the knee and hip. The knee joint is largely affected due to its weight-bearing nature. In many studies, this functional loss is related to muscular weakness caused by OA in particular the quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Flexibility is the ability of a muscle to lengthen and allow one joint [or more than one joint in a series] to move through a range of motion. The hamstring muscle group have tendency to shorten and the tightening results in increased patello-femoral compressive force, which may eventually lead to patello-femoral syndrome often associated with osteoarthritis. Method: Seventeen patients with knee osteoarthritis matched with the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Sit and Reach test was used to evaluate the hamstring tightness. Goniometer was used to evaluate knee active range of motion Spearman’s correlation was used to determine the relationship between hamstring tightness and duration of disease in knee osteoarthritis. Result: The present study found significant inverse correlation (r = -0.07) between hamstring tightness and duration of disease such that the hamstring flexibility decreases with increase in the duration of knee osteoarthritis. However, the correlation between duration of disease and knee active range of motion was negligible (r = 0.25). Conclusion: The results states that hamstring tightness and duration of the disease in knee osteoarthritis are correlated. Further research is indicated with a larger sample size. Keywords: Knee osteoarthritis, hamstring tightness, osteoarthritis.

The major response to the pandemic has been to try to move both teaching-learning and assessment lectures online. so, studying the student’s perception of virtual classes is a must to consider the views. This study is important because of the physiotherapy profession's practical and skill-based practice, it is vital that we not lose focus on the non-technical skills that are required for effective clinical practice. \u0000Methods- This is an observational study with a study duration was of 1 year. All physiotherapy students from DVVPF’S college of physiotherapy were recruited by purposive sampling method by using a google form. \u0000Result- Data has been summarized by using the descriptive analysis method. Our data showed that 108 undergraduate physiotherapy students answered the questionnaire. They shared their experiences about online classes as compared to offline classes. they shared firstly about communication skills. in online classes students experienced that it does provide a platform to improve communication skills most of the time, & sometimes challenges due to the online environment during an emergency may delay the adoption of technology-enabled education. some students have technophobia because of that they cannot communicate on online classes or they faced difficulties. \u0000Conclusion- Our study revealed that on basis of the experiences of physiotherapy students’ actual classes are much more efficient and productive as compared to virtual classes. \u0000

The study aims to investigate physiotherapists’ current practice in specific disease-related Knowledge and clinical skills required managing people with RA and extent to which they promote physical activity and exercise. \u0000 \u0000METHOD: \u0000A cross-sectional national e-survey was sent to physiotherapists regarding their confidence in managing RA patients. Questionnaire Data developed from previous literatures included the following details: years of clinical experience, current RA clinical caseload, and professional qualifications, primary clinical area of practice, relevant treatment options in established or newly diagnosed cases and management goals. \u0000 \u0000RESULT: \u0000A total of 478 physiotherapist responses were received.84% agreed to the fact that exercises does play an important role in joint health promotion. Almost 70% strongly agreed to factor that FIIT principal has to be taken in consideration while prescribing exercises. Approximately 48% were familiar with Index that measures disease activity and ACR-preferred tools for functional status assessment in RA. Moreover, 98% were having a clear perspective of different guidelines of management in RA and Osteoarthritis (OA).While considering the choice of treatment physical activity and educational advice were more preferred as compared to the modalities or manual therapy. \u0000 \u0000CONCLUSION: \u0000The present practices are in lines with the current guidelines for RA management, but still most of them never prescribed high-intensity exercise and lacked knowledge of when to advice appropriate splints/orthoses. Even the recommendations regarding splints were not clear. Myofascial release is a new approach to relieve spasticity. It may act in the future as a facilitator and intensifier of treatment for a more consistent effect. Also, Inhibition techniques are used in spastic patients. In tendinous pressure, manual pressure is applied to the tendinous insertion of the muscle or across long tendons produces an inhibitory effect. AIM- To To find the immediate effect of tendinous pressure technique versus myofascial release in the reduction of spasticity. METHOD- The study was conducted in Vikhe Patil Hospital, Physiotherapy OPD, and Phuntamba Stroke Center. It was a cross over study conducted on spastic stroke patients using a purposive sampling method. Twenty-seven patients were included in the study. The duration of the study was of 6 months. Modified Tardieu scale was the outcome measure used at pre, and post-treatment measurement and the subject was treated with both the techniques with 2 hours of the interval to see which of the technique is more beneficial for reducing spasticity. RESULT-Result of within-group analysis of pre and post-treatment measurement of myofascial release showed clinical and statistical significance, but muscle reaction testing (X) showed no significant difference in MTS whereas the result of within-group analysis of pre and post-treatment measurement, and muscle reaction testing (X) of tendinous pressure showed clinical and statistically significant improvement in MTS. The result of between the post-treatment measurement and muscle reaction testing of myofascial release and tendinous pressure showed no significant difference. In contrast, muscle reaction testing showed a significant difference in MTS of both the techniques. CONCLUSION-So the conclusion can be made that tendinous pressure is more effective as compared to MFR in reducing the spasticity of stroke patients.

Hence the aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of a sedentary lifestyle on peak expiratory flow rate. METHOD- The study was conducted on 75 desk job workers, males and females of age group 30-45 years working for 6-8 hours without physical activity. Analysis of their lung function capacity was done by PEFR. RESULT-It is seen that there is a significant difference in the predicted and obtained values of PEFR in both genders. The mean predicted value of PEFR in females is 416.04±25.72 and the mean obtained value of PEFR is 284.7±72.84. In males the mean predicted value of PEFR is 542.6±23.33 and the mean obtained value of PEFR is 396.2±80.6. It shows that the sedentary lifestyle with physical inactivity affects the PEFR values CONCLUSION-Regular exercise in terms of physical activity is essential for every individual with a sedentary lifestyle to overcome health problems and improve their pulmonary functions. \u0000
