In this way, exchanged power between microgrids (MGs) in both islanded and grid-connected modes is investigated. A power exchange algorithm based on economic and reliability features is proposed. In this algorithm, exchanged power between MGs based on customer interruption cost (CIC) and electricity prices (EPs) is represented. To evaluate the indices a new method is used, which has high accuracy. The efficiency of the proposed methods is examined for bus-2 of the Roy Billinton distribution System (RBDS) system and different scenarios tackling EP and CIC into the problem formulation. The evaluation results of the new method are compared with the results of the Monte Carlo method.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"266 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122157413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The expansion of RESs and advances in power electronics have led to more attention being paid to DC microgrids (DCMGs). DCMGs enable the exploitation of all renewable energy potentials. Along with the advantages of RESs and DCMGs, the use of RESs is associated with the challenges of absence or lack of inherent inertia. Therefore, DCMGs have become more sensitive to disturbances. Rotational inertia is an inherent property of rotating machines that increases stability in the grid. Therefore, by applying energy storage systems (ESSs) in DCMGs, and inertia emulation the mentioned challenges can be overcome. The proposed control scheme is implemented based on the concept of the virtual supercapacitor in the inner control loop of the ESS interface dual-half-bridge (DHB) converter with DCMG to emulate the inertia. Due to the high efficiency, electrical insulation, inherent soft switching, and the need for a smaller filter, the DHB converter has been used. Finally, a DCMG is simulated for the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results confirm the validity of the proposed scheme.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114820067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although one of the most used site selection approaches in recent decades is Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), This method undergoes local scoring and un-robustness. Using MCDM methods individually may be led to improper site location. In this paper, a hybrid procedure has been utilized to remove the above-mentioned demerits. Aeroelastic stability of wind turbine blades is of great importance in both power production and load carrying capacity of structure. This paper investigates the aeroelastic stability of wind turbine blades modeled as thin walled composite box beam, utilizing unsteady incompressible aerodynamics. The structural model incorporates a number of non-classical effects such as transverse shear, warping inhibition, non-uniform torsional model and rotary inertia. The unsteady incompressible aerodynamics based on Wagner’s function is used to determine the aerodynamic loads. Governing differential equations of motion are obtained using Hamilton’s principle and solved using extended Galerkin’s method. The results obtained in this paper, related to clarification of the effects of pretwist, presetting and bending-torsion elastic coupling on the aeroelastic instability boundaries of the thin-walled composite beams. The obtained results are expected to be useful toward obtaining better predictions of the aeroelastic behavior of composite rotating blades.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128821789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, greenhouses have grown significantly and this occurrence needs more energy supply. On the other hand, due to environmental pollution and Carbon Dioxide emission which is one of the most obvious reasons of global warming, the use of fossil fuels is not a safe method and due to environmental compatibility and renewability of renewable energies, the use of these resources is one of the best energy-supplying options for a sustainable development. Wind energy is one of the most common renewable resources and Iran has a suitable wind potential. In this research, 100 kW of renewable electricity in the Pakdasht greenhouses was supplied and evaluated by three wind turbines with different power generation diagrams. In this case, in order to supplying electricity during peak consumption, turbine-generated electricity replaced with the diesel generator system and power outage was sold to the grid. Finally, the results showed that Eocycle WT is the most suitable option in this city due to the greater conformity of this turbine power curves with the intensity and pattern of the wind blowing in this city. In fact, it reduced 311 tons of CO2 emission by generating 474,672 kWh of electricity per year. The estimated cost of energy consumption in this project was $ 0.07 per kilowatt.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114225331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Generally, rotating wind turbines occupy a large working space, while they can absorb only a small share of the wind energy. The motion of big machinery in such large working areas results in maintenance difficulties, more costs, and more risk for natural life. On the other hand, windless and oscillating turbines can offer a replacement for the conventional rotating wind turbine, which does not require large workspaces and risky motions. However, Due to its direct connection to the grid, the DFIG is vulnerable to external disturbances. Current grid codes require DFIG to maintain its connection to the network and deliver reactive power during grid disturbances. This paper presents an enhanced fault ride-through (FRT) approach of the DFIG to meet grid connection requirements. The proposed method uses model-based predictive control (MPC). Resistors located in series with the rotor serve to decrease the rotor overcurrent during deep voltage sags. This method improves the transitional states of the system under fault conditions and decreases fault negative results, including DC link overvoltage, rotor overcurrent, and electromagnetic torque oscillations, and also helps grid voltage restoration by delivering reactive power to the grid. Therefore, the FRT regulations of the recent grid codes can be satisfied by using this method. Simulation analyses are conducted using MATLAB/SIMULINK on the DFIG-based wind turbines to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed strategy.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134212460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is additional high-frequency resonance spikes will also have a certain effect on system stability. Common strategies for damping resonance spikes are divided into hardware damping and software damping. As for passive hardware damping, this paper expands the design based on the typical parameters of the capacitor parallel resistance method in the wind power application scenario and summarizes and proposes general resistance parameter determination methods. As for the software virtual resistance damping, the virtual resistance is constructed based on the vector control method, and the resonance peak damping of the three-phase LCL rectifier is performed. The negative damping caused by the control delay is solved by adding a lead-lag link. Simulation results verify the feasibility of the method. Finally, a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the software/hardware strategies for the damped resonance spikes of the LCL converter are made, and the conclusions are verified by simulation.","PeriodicalId":281528,"journal":{"name":"7th Iran Wind Energy Conference (IWEC2021)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116334185","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The impact of the different design conditions on the available capacity and performance of ducted wind turbine analyzed. The wall of the duct was simulated by using the theory of designing the wind tunnels; CATIA V5 and ANSYS CFX software were used to model and analysis of the duct, respectively. For the optimization of the process, variable conditions were analyzed by two methods of analytical hierarchy process and response surface methodology to select the best state of the design. Analytical hierarchy process used to match the best design condition to found maximum available power in ducted wind turbine while RSM can analyze the effect of each parameter on response. The presented results by two methods were shown in the same condition for optimized design parameters. The calculated design data were fitted to an equation using multiple regressions and analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The maximum available power is achieved by the throat diameter of 0.16, the length ratio of 1.5, and the concentration ratio of 2.
