The latest scientific studies have further confirmed the presence of SARS-CoV2 virus in wastewater. This virus was also detected in stool samples of patients with COVID-19 symptoms, but also in asymptomatic cases of the disease, which confirms the possibility of faecal-oral transmission. The aim of this paper is to introduce automated real-time online monitoring in the wastewater treatment plant \"Ekogramont\" with the possibility of using this monitoring in the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic. The plant is located at 1080 m above sea level and was built in the period from 1998 to 1999 for the needs of the company for bottling spring water \"Vlasinska ROSA\", which is now owned by the company \"Coca Cola\" HBC. The proposed SCADA system collects the data from the sensors located in the sewage water and delivers the obtained results to the computers in the central station. The suitability of such automated monitoring comes to the fore in extreme weather conditions which prevail in this high mountain area, when for the purposes of standard analysis, wastewater sampling is disabled. The system also contains the so-called \"contamination\" alarm which is activated by every parameter which exceeds the set critical limit. The standard RT-PCR protocols WHO and FDA are used to detect SARS-CoV2. The detection of the viral genome in sewage, prior to the exponential phase of the epidemic, is a valuable indicator of the imminent danger of an outbreak. In this filed, modification of legal regulations in Serbia would enable the formation of a network for automated real-time monitoring of water quality control, with continuous measurement systems that would deliver the measurement results via SCADA systems to the competent institutions.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131551157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effects of drying as a processing technique on ginger were investigated with respect to the proximate composition of the produce. The UG I and UG II were collected, sorted (whole, peeled and unpeeled) and (slice, peeled and unpeeled), and were subjected to Unblanched and Blanched (50℃ at 3,6 and 9 min respectively) treatments and dried using solar dryer for a period of one month. The initial moisture content of UG I and UG II were 71.12% and 72.47% respectively, the final moisture content were reduced to 7.02% SUP (Unblanched) and 5.52% SUP (Blanched at 9 min) for UG I, while that of UG II were 4.82% SP (Unblanched) and 5.85% WUP (Blanched at 3 min). For Carbohydrate content, 61.38% was noted to be the lowest level at Unblanched (Whole peeled), and 68.37% indicates higher CHO content at Blanched 50℃ at 9 min (Split Unpeeled) treatments for UG I samples. Similarly, for UG II, CHO's presence was low at 56.01% for Unblanched (Whole peeled) and high at 76.32% for Blanched on the temperature of 50°C at 9 min (Whole peeled) treatment. Ash content was observed to be low at 4.68% for Blanched 50℃ at 3 min (Split Unpeeled) and high at 6.47% for Unblanched (Whole peeled) treatment for UG I samples, and 3.82% low for Blanched on the temperature of 50°C at 9 min (Split peeled) with higher ash content of 7.69% Unblanched (Split Unpeeled) treatment for UG II samples.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131670077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The construction and principle of operation of the grain drying complex is described. The basis of each of the solar drying systems of the complex is the presence of two solar collectors, one of which provides heating of the drying agent at the inlet into the drying chamber, and the second-heating of the used drying agent in the exhaust pipe to increase its flow rate and, accordingly, the intensification of grain drying. Availability of gravel or water heat accumulators allows to carry out the process of grain drying or grain storage, at night and under adverse weather conditions without the risk of self-heating. The optimum capacity of the gravel accumulator is 0.5-0.75 m 3 per 1 m 2 of solar collector area. Drum solar dryer provides guaranteed drying of a grain batch for 6-7 hours of the day time and a grain batch for the night time. It was found that the optimum thickness of the grain layer in the drying process is 50-70 cm and specific load is up to 100 kg of grain per square meter of the horizontal solar collector area.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124251130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be achieved with the design and construction of a good storage structure. In order to improve one of the storage structures used for yam and sweet potato tuber crops, underground pit storage structure was modified by hybridizing the bottom and side wall lining using closed-cell foam and sawdust material at ratio 50:50 in terms of thickness. Twenty tubers of yam and sweet potato were stored in the hybrid underground pit structure. The lowest and highest temperatures of the underground pit were 20 and 23oC, while the lowest and highest temperatures of the ambient environment were 27.9 and 29.8oC. The lowest relative humidity in the hybrid underground pit and ambient environment were 70.6% and 57.3%, while the highest were 86 and 79.6% respectively. It was discovered that at the end of eight week of storage, the weight loss in the tubers of yam and sweet potato was 10.5 and 22.5%, while the sprouting rates were 15 and 20%, percentages of rottenness were 10.5 and 15% respectively. It can be concluded that the hybrid underground pit storage structure improved the storage period of yam and sweet potato but can prolong the storage and life span of yam tuber than sweet potato.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116415671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence this study was needed at Sunti Golden Sugar Company, Nigeria to determine cost of equipment use and select appropriate tractor power and machinery for the crop cultivation, crop establishment, weed control, cane harvesting and transporting to the store for post-harvest processing for future target of 4,770 ha of sugar cane farm. Based on agricultural farm size, field operational planning factors like soil, weather/environmental conditions, each implement matched with appropriate tractor size was calculated. Costs of equipment use, ownership and operational costs for implements and tractors were also calculated. A well-drawn cropping field operations calendar was very important for crop and operational sequencing was recommended and was put in-place since the operations overlaps with multi-periods. As part of the recommendation, during the planned equipment downtime, major repairs and maintenance were to be carried out before critical field operation's period to improve pre-field and in-field efficiency for effective equipment and field operational planning and management. Determined are the values of each implement field capacity within allotted time available, actual number of implement/tractor power required, fuel and oil consumption per unit time for the sugar cane cultivation, harvesting and transporting operations at the sugar cane farm. Also appropriate earth-moving and earthwork equipment for road, irrigation and drainage structural works were also selected.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114495156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has a volumetric capacity of 0.33 m3 . The tumble barrel mixer consists of a hopper, a stainless steel barrel with baffles. It is mounted on a steel framework and driven by a shaft connected to stirrers inside the baffles. The baffles are alternatively placed in the barrel in such a way that they do not touch the stirrers during operation. The shaft is driven by a 3HP (2,25 kW) variable speed electric motor. Performance tests were conducted on the machine after fabrication using the ASAE (R2006) test standards, and also Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Three speeds of the mixer, 100,150 and 200 rpm (min-1 ) ( and four mixing times of 5,10,15 and 20 minutes were studied as they affected the Degree of Mixing (DM) of ground and shelled corn samples in the mixer. Results obtained showed, there was an increase in the degree of mixing as the speed of the machine increased from 100 to 200 rpm (min-1 ). Also the degree of mixing increased as the time of mixing increased from 5mins to 20 minutes for the three speeds studied. From the Analysis of variance tables, the calculated F-values were very much higher than the tabulated values at 5% probability. These indicate a high significance of the effect of speeds of mixing on the degree of mixing of the tumble barrel mixer. The speed of 150 rpm (min-1 ) gave the highest effect in the tumble mixer. From the difference of means tables, there were significant differences in the degree of mixing for 100 and 150 rpm (min-1 ) speeds for all the different time of mixing durations. However, in the 200 rpm (min-1 ) speed, there was no significant difference in the DM between the 15 to 20 minutes mixing time duration.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114476325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Researchers have also proved that the timing and nature of rainfall since the last pesticide application are often described as significant controls on pesticide transport through flow processes. Rainfall variability is now considered as the climate drivers on contaminant transport. The amount of pesticides transported through surface runoff and/or preferential flow pathways to streams and groundwater respectively has been shown to be strongly correlated with the concentration of that chemical in a thin near-surface layer of the soil immediately prior to such an event. The thin near-surface layer of a soil is regarded as the source where all the dynamics of solute transport starts. The thin near-surface layer is the store of pesticide from which they are leached by both fast episodic as well as slow steady processes. In this research, we seek to better understand the idea of driver-source-trigger concept of pesticide solute transport in the subsurface. The driver (rainfall variability) triggers (surface runoff and/or preferential flow) from the source (a thin near-surface layer) for pesticides transport to stream and/or groundwater. The aim of the study was to point out the importance of a new approach (application of electronic archiving) in agricultural enterprises. This is of great importance because documentation is the basis for financial reporting and financially stable management in the company. The survey was conducted in 144 agricultural enterprises and we found that financial management and control was introduced in 79 enterprises, and that an insufficient level of control at the enterprise level was present in 65 enterprises. By presenting the Phi/Cramer correlation coefficient, the authors proved the existence of statistical significance (p = .00) and achieving more secure archiving of documentation in agricultural enterprises that have introduced a system of financial management and control in their regular operations.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114789351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study was carried out to assess the effect of pretreatments (P) and drying temperatures (T) on antioxidants and antinutrients of Justicia insularis and Jatropha tanjorensis leaves. Four groups of samples were prepared, namely: fresh sample (FR), UN-blanched and dried sample (UB), sample blanched in hot water and dried (BHW) and sample blanched in salt water and dried (BSW). Drying was conducted at 40 0C, 50 0C and 60 0C using hot air oven. Antioxidants and antinutrients of the samples were determined. The data collected were subjected to a two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) as well as Dunnett t-test at 5% probability level. Based on the results, BHW between 500 C and 600 C increased the antioxidant activity in both vegetables. BHW 60 0C was able to reduce oxalate and phytate contents to reasonable level while BSW50 0C drastically decreased hydrogen cyanide and tannin contents. However, the overall, individualistic, and interactive effects of P and T had significant ( < 0.05) influence on majority of antioxidant activity and antinutrient contents in both vegetables.","PeriodicalId":281326,"journal":{"name":"Poljoprivredna tehnika","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131514896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
