Communication is performed among base station (BS) and paired users in arbitrary number of clusters. The channels are described by Fischer-Snedecor $(boldsymbol{F})$ fading model. The outage probability and sum data rate are defined for power-domain NOMA using data rate-based power allocation procedure. Comparison of two pairing schemes, D-NLUPA and High-Low, is done in terms of aforementioned metrics. Numerical results also show the influence of fading depth and shadowing sharpness; user locations, and the number of users in the cell.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130565266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many methods have been proposed to estimate absolute object pose based on orientation sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, or inertial measurement units (IMUs), The current paper described a Kalman filter based algorithm to obtain the spatial orientation and the proposed algorithm results from the experimental study are compared with the calculated values from the built-in software library in the BNO055 sensor module. Photovoltaic (PV) and wind power plants (WPP) are dominant RES in the region of Southeast Europe. This paper is analyzing the impact of RES on frequency regulation reserves in North Macedonia. There are and will be a high increase of installed PV capacity in the power system that will have impact on imbalances and frequency regulation reserves. The methodology for the assessment of RES impact on frequency regulation reserves is based on the data available for the authors for the years 2015 and 2016, about hourly deviations (imbalances) of PV, WPP and load. According to these data necessary frequency regulation reserves capacities are calculated for the years 2023 and 2025. The results and conclusion are presented at the end of the paper.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131785823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The investigated circuit is suitable for automotive applications. The input voltage $boldsymbol{V}_{boldsymbol{IN}}$ of the buck dc-dc converter is equal to 24 V, while the output voltage is regulated to be equal to 12 V. The PSpice models of MOSFET transistor “BSC020N03MS” of the company Infineon are used in this investigation. The short-circuit losses in the power stage are eliminated using small gap time, when both output transistors are switched-off. The methodology considers cross-border resources (demand side management (DSM) and RES assets) and serves to identify how the ranking order (priority of deployment) varies depending on the operating conditions (network loading and RES generation), the type of the study method (DC or AC-based power flow) and the consideration of the capacity of flexible resources. The results have shown that priority of deployment is highly dependent on RES penetration level as it can visibly change the ranking order (level of influence) of the considered parameters.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133318345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The number of connected devices exceeds the number of people on earth and the data rates can be as high as several GB/s. 5G already incorporates mm-wave frequencies. The next wave in wireless technology will be about sensing the environment and combining with communications. The applications are very versatile, like driver monitoring, autonomous driving, industry applications related to non-destructive material testing, food control and improving efficiency in agriculture. The future 6G standards will further extend the use of mm-wave bands for increasing data rates and incorporating sensing functionality. From semiconductor technology and design perspective significant progress has been made to gain speed, reliability and design flows that guarantee first-time right mm-wave circuits. This paper approaches mm-wave communications and sensing from application, system and circuit perspectives, while identifying challenges and finally showing examples how to address them from circuit perspective.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"166 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133608637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different Deep Learning algorithms, including CNNs and RNNs, are examined and compared. The experimental part is done using two real-life datasets Kinetics-400 and UCF-101 and one synthetic - SURREACT. All of them are used both for training and testing. The models - SlowFast, X3D and MViT are evaluated using accuracy top-1, and the results are identifying the best-performing combinations of dataset and model. One important question this study is trying to answer is whether a synthetic dataset can replace a real-world one. Finally, limitations and future directions are discussed, along with potential real-world applications.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115309275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
