As more PV is used, it is expected that the shape of the daily price of electricity will become much more predictable, with lower prices during the middle of the day and higher prices during the morning and evening. This paper analyses the tilt and azimuth angles that will yield maximum revenue for fixed-tilt PV systems taking into account the electricity prices on the day ahead markets.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126747494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the biggest issues in antenna arrays of microstrip antennas is the strong mutual coupling between neighbouring elements, due to their spacing and surface waves propagation, that severely impacts the active impedances and antenna pattern. The present paper discusses an opportunity to mitigate this undesirable impact. As a frequency selective surface, a mushroom-like EBG is selected, designed, and analysed with emerging technology of Floquet theorem applications (Floquet ports). The mutual coupling is estimated against the size of the EBG structure. The paper presents a straightforward and computational non intensive approach to design and evaluate various EBG structures in a close-to-real application environment.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"333 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122846996","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim was to assess the potential modifications in certain operational factors of the electrospinning process. This technique employed commonly available image processing software to gather information about the influence of the distance between the nozzle and collector screen, as well as the area covered by the nanofibers. The findings revealed that the optimal conditions for operating with a 9% PVA solution were a working voltage of 20 kV, a needle-to-collector distance ranging from 10 to 17 cm, and a needle size of 25G. When compared to a voltage of 15 kV, the area of the nanomat deposited at a voltage of 20 kV exhibited an increase of 7 to 27% (depending on the needle size).","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114873774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first antenna array consists of eight identical crossed slots, fed by the separate coplanar waveguides (CPW), that form a linear antenna array with equal inter-element spacing and uniform amplitude excitation. The second, corporate feed network consists of CPW feeding lines and CPW quarter-wave impedance transformers enabling uniform power distribution. As a third antenna array, the resonant series fed antenna array is considered with input power that comes from one end of the array and provides in phase feeding of the crossed slots with inter element CPW transmission lines. Simulation results show that the array antenna with corporate feeding achieves the widest impedance bandwidth from 24.75 GHz to 26.75 GHz with the input reflection coefficient better than −10 dB. The antenna array with series fed shows the maximum gain of 16.8 dBi and the highest front to back ratio of 33 dBi in regard to other two ways of antenna feeding.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114493081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model is realized in MATLAB/Simulink environment. A new approach for describing differential equations in state space is proposed. In this approach, the input signal of the system is equal to zero, and thus it is relatively simpler to determine the behavior of the system when external disturbances occur at each node. The simulation results are presented for two operation modes of the converter: minimum and maximum current. The presented research is useful both from the point of view of design and control synthesis and for the needs of training in power electronics.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128229077","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this objective, we leveraged data crawling techniques to collect pertinent Twitter data from two different time periods i.e., February 2023 and March 2023, which we analyzed using ensemble learning approaches. By doing so, we aimed to augment the precision and robustness of our sentiment analysis results. Specifically, we collected relevant Twitter data relating to menopause by using specific keywords and applied the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) algorithm to extract features. However, our dataset exhibited class imbalance, which we addressed using the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE). Subsequently, we trained several ensemble learning models, including bagging, boosting, and random forest, using the sci-kit-learn library in Python. We evaluated the efficacy of each model using accuracy, recall and precision as the performance metric. Our analysis demonstrated that the Random Forest algorithm outperformed other ensemble learning approaches in terms of accuracy, attaining an accuracy of 0.96 and 0.89 respectively for the two datasets collected. Our research is of paramount importance as it provides a comprehensive understanding of the emotional experiences of women during menopause. We underscore the significance of mood changes in comprehending the emotional experiences of menopausal women. Our results can inform the development of personalized interventions for managing menopausal symptoms, which can significantly enhance the quality of life of women undergoing menopause.","PeriodicalId":278683,"journal":{"name":"2023 58th International Scientific Conference on Information, Communication and Energy Systems and Technologies (ICEST)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129347166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
