Zhu and X. L. Yang, Journal of Signal and Information Processing, 2 (2011), pp. 44-51] to compressive sensing MRI model with wavelet sparsity and total variation(TV) sparsity simultaneously. This extended approach can reconstruct the MR image from under-sampled k-space data, i.e., the partial Fourier data. We also give the convergence analysis of extended alternating minimization method. Some MR images are employed to test in the numerical experiments, and the results demonstrate that the alternating minimization method is very efficient in MRI reconstruction.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128854048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SURF key-point is very effective for object matching between two images and we can use it to locate object by and large. But only in this way it can't guarantee the success of object tracking because many available key-points are un-matched and can't be used to locate the object. In order to solve this problem we take the advantage of super pixel to obtain more available key-points based on its property that all points in the same super pixel region belong to the same object. At last we construct a weight map for each frame to refine the location of target object. The experiments demonstrate that our work is robust for tracking, especially dealing with occlusions and object transformations.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130189153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes an improved Biologically Inspired Feature(IBIF), and applies this feature into smile recognition. The main contributions of our paper are as follows. 1) a rotation-invariant BIF feature is proposed, which adjusts the RBF function of the traditional Biologically Inspired Model(BIM), 2) the sparse coding method is introduced, and is to establish the Patch dictionary for changing the random patch selection of BIM. Some comparative experiments are made between IBIF and some popular features, such as Gabor, PHOG and BIF. The final experimental results reveal that the IBIF feature can achieve better performance, and can be efficiently applied into the real smile recognition system.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127765537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This inspirits us to design this new algorithm that could intensify texture-aware functions in the structure completion processing in an optimal manner. To avoid the occurrence of visually inconsistent results, we consider the filling of missing region as the energy minimization, using Belief Propagation (BP), of discrete Markov random field with integrated constraints of the costs of label, structure coherence and texture coherence. Moreover, wavelet multi-resolution image pyramid is adopted in our method, which not only enhances the global geometric structures and detailed texture features within large missing region, but as well speeds up the rate of convergence in the synthesis process.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121239462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the geographic position is combined with local business resources, users can interact with shops through mobile. This Mobile SNS conceals a great deal of valuable information, including users' consumption tendency, merchants' marketing strategies and so on. If we exploit the highly fragmental information and present it with visualization techniques after information integration, many potential values and regulations can be found. Based on such background, we create a multi-axes coordinate system combined with checkin points to visualize this information. Through several interactive techniques, we make a further analysis on different shops in the same commercial circle and the same shop in different commercial circles. From these visualization results, we can make proper suggestions to customers according to their consumption tendency.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116546822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we propose a new technique for detecting the photographic composites using two or more equal and coplanar circles. In particular, we describe how to (i) estimate the focal length based on the equality of the sizes of two coplanar circles, (ii) estimate the normal vector of the world circle plane on the basis of the estimated focal length. Inconsistencies in the angles among the normal vectors (each circle determines a normal vector) are used as evidence of tampering. To demonstrate the efficiency of the approach, we test our method on both synthetic and visually plausible composite images.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128195576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, a new fast approach based on phase spectrum of Fourier Transform (PFT) was proved to be effective and also parameter-free. In this paper, we present a novel improved saliency detection model using PFT as well as the Bayesian framework. The bottom-up saliency is gathered based on PFT in several color channels and the Bayesian framework is used to incorporate top-down information with this bottom-up saliency. Experiments show that our fast PFT-based Bayesian model achieves better and more robust results than that from the state-of-the-art.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128231399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a distribution-based active contour model by measuring the Bhattacharyya distance between probability distributions of the object and background along with the evolution of GAC model. Due to combining the image cues of edge and statistical information which is computed by using kernel density estimation, this hybrid methodology prevents the boundary leaking as well as the under segmentation problem. Experimental results on the medical images show the improvements of our method in terms of comparisons with original GAC model, Bhattacharyya gradient flow, texture-based GAC and Li's active contour model.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131759357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to achieve this, we firstly derive an optical degradation model which enables us to adopt a point operation scheme to realize image multi-focusing. This scheme can effectively reduce halo artifacts in the refocused image and greatly improve the computational efficiency. Then, a two-step approach is applied to estimate the blur map of the input image. i). A sparse blur map is obtained by estimating the amount of defocus blur at edge locations. ii). The guided image filtering method is applied to propagate the value from edge locations into the unknown regions. In order to obtain the depth map of the whole scene to realize the multi-focusing, we adopt a simple geometry prior of photograph to eliminate the ambiguity over the focal plane. Based on the obtained depth map, we can directly produce different styles of images by multi-focusing with the adjustment to the camera parameters. Experimental results on a variety of images show that our method can acquire visual pleasing multi-focusing results. Moreover, our method can also extract the depth map of the scene with fairly good extent of accuracy.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128010616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on this algorithm, we propose a novel method to simulate deformable terrain, particularly the simulation of tire tracks left on the soft terrain such as snow, mud, or sand. Existing methods for simulating deformable terrain include texture decals, bump mapping, displacement mapping, and voxel based methods, but they all have drawbacks. In our algorithm, a pre-modeled tire track is stitched with the terrain mesh on GPU, behind a running vehicle. Compared with previous methods, our method generates more realistic terrain deformation while using fewer polygons. The proposed shader based polygon stitching algorithm can be used to simulate other destructible environments.","PeriodicalId":277974,"journal":{"name":"2011 Sixth International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-08-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134416222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
