We consider three prefilter bandwidths namely B1=∞, B2=2.tx and B3=1.tx, where tx is the bit rate. The synchronizer has two variants one synchronous by both transitions at rate and other asynchronous by both transitions at rate. Each variant has two versions namely the manual and the automatic. The objective is to study the prefilter with the four synchronizers and to evaluate their output jitter UIRMS (Unit Interval Root Mean Square) versus input SNR (Signal Noise Ratio).","PeriodicalId":277799,"journal":{"name":"2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123768246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed controller is a generalization of a FoPSS applied to a single machine connected to an infinite bus. A significant improvement has been achieved using FoPSS over an integer-order power system stabilizer (IoPSS). The numerical simulation shows that stability of the multimachine system is maintained with and without an excitation system when using the FoPSS. The FoPSS is more robust and can sustain sever conditions and wider range of operating points.","PeriodicalId":277799,"journal":{"name":"2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121356573","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design utilizes 1260 slices of the target FPGA. It enables also to produce an output at 6μs. The proposed PDFLC is used to control a magnetic sustentation system. In this system, the metallic ball is kept stable in an adjustable height position. The experimental results show the stability of the metallic ball on the equilibrium position and as same as on an up and down movement.","PeriodicalId":277799,"journal":{"name":"2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127336347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An example of its application to the gaseous phase transported by a liquid in a horizontal pipeline was evaluated. In the measurements on laboratory installation two 241Am radioactive sources and probes with NaI(Tl) scintillation crystals have been used. Exemplary results of the mean velocity determination of the minority phase in the examined flow are demonstrated, and the evaluation of its uncertainty has been presented. Results obtained by use of the both described method and cross-correlation one have been compared.","PeriodicalId":277799,"journal":{"name":"2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126021457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Low frequency electromagnetic fields around power transmission and distribution networks are time-varying quasistatic electromagnetic fields that have a conservative (non swirling) component of low frequency electric field caused by charges and low frequency swirling component of the magnetic field caused by currents. Compactization of power facilities or devices, reducing the mass of the conductors, the calculation of swirling currents or induced electromotive forces in low frequency circuits, designing of structures for a human protection from electromagnetic fields as well as designing of the facility itself, are only some of the practical issues where the knowledge about time changing of spatial distribution of electromagnetic field is essential. This paper elaborates the results of three-dimensional calculation of stationary, sinus variable low frequency electromagnetic fields of the wind turbine, with complex configuration of elements, consisting of 7 wind aggregates, rated power 1.5MW, type LTW77-1.5, the manufacturer Leitwind, in the software package EFC-400. Analyzing of these calculation results is necessary to point at possible weak spots and give a proposal for measures for elimination of the electromagnetic influences or reducing them to acceptable level.","PeriodicalId":277799,"journal":{"name":"2012 16th IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114940436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we aim to handle the time-constrained requests within their deadline despite of the mobile nodes limited energy. We propose a cross layer service selection protocol which ensures both timelines and energy efficiency. The proposed solution discards low-power route, overhead route and overloaded service provider. We evaluate the performance of our proposed protocol using the NS2.
