Classification in face recognition by multiclass probabilistic discriminate analysis

Abstract

A probabilistic approach for discriminate analysis based on the L2-probabilistic measure of dependence is proposed to classify face images. We compare the proposed algorithms coming from such approach to linear discriminate analysis. The comparison is realized in the mean of the probability of misclassification for an example database of face images.
