However, the decline in the physical condition of the elderly, including a decrease in the balance of body position, cannot be avoided. In the observation at the GKJ Gondokusuman nursing home, the drying place is uses a rope on the roof or pole that is quite high from the reach of the elderly hand. When drying clothes, the elderly must stretch their arms and tiptoe because of the differences in height of the clothesline. This condition can increase the risk of accidents for the elderly who lose balance. This study aims to develop a product to dry the laundry and reduce the distance between the users with a high clothesline. This product development was using design research and product design. The research method was based in ergonomics knowledge through an inclusive design approach. The techniques used were behavioral observation, assessment of body activities, like Nordic Body Map (NBM) and Rapid Entire Body Assignment (REBA). The results of the NBM stated that the elderly experienced pain in the right side of the body, while the results of the REBA assessment showed a score of 10. This condition showed that the elderly posture while drying still had a high risk of injury. As the results of these studies, the product is designed with a function to hang laundry that make user's body position more balanced because there is no need to stretch arms and tiptoe too high. Users also easily put clothes on the hanger because there is a grip feature for both hands. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000","PeriodicalId":277713,"journal":{"name":"ATRIUM Jurnal Arsitektur","volume":"16 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121046672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, the UNCRPD implementation seems not quite effective. Many educational facilities are not accessible for the disabled or the People with Disabilities. The learning environment has an indirect impact on student achievement, creating a positive attitude, higher motivation for learning and no doubt better performance. The accessibility aspect of learning places is crucial for educational facilities such as university Library. Petra Christian University (UKP) is located in the heart of Wonocolo District, Surabaya, East Java-Indonesia. With the motto \"Learning zone that cares \". Library@Petra wants to be a learning center that caters to academics, and practitioners. Library@Petra is the largest and most complete academic library in East Java. On the other hand, many users find accessibility barriers to Library@Petra-owned facilities built in the 1980 's. Accessibility issues for all users are generated from Focus Group discussion (FGD) discussions, involving people with disabilities, elderly, pregnant women following children in accordance with User – Centered Principle. The Library@Petra redesign was submitted based on the principles of inclusive design submitted by Tanuwidjaja (2015). An Equitable Use but Reasonable Principle will be met through providing a help corner for users with special needs, accessible pathways and space to spin, as well as accessible meeting and toilet areas. Simple and Intuitive Use Principle will be filled with braille/visual and directional guides for the blind and other. The principle of requiring Low Physical Effort applied to accessible toilets and assistance to retrieve books in specific areas that are hard to reach, computers for users with special needs (blind users) are provided for reading, to access e-books and catalogs. Prohibition of Usage Error is recommended with the installation of a fence as high as 150 cm around the elevator aisle and anti-slippery floor. These recommendations were found difficult to be addressed because of the limited university's budget and the use of active Library@Petra throughout the year. Therefore, it is proposed a Special Assistance Corner for special users including disability as a first step. This corner is equipped with a dedicated User Service desk, a waiting couch and three computer stations for visual disabilities to read ebook and catalogue sites. Yogyakarta has a lot of history both physical history and non-physical history. Many people know Yogyakarta as a cultural city and student city. Cultural diversity in Yogyakarta is one of the tourist attractions. Travelers not only visit tourist attractions and historical heritage buildings but also are interested in following a cultural atmosphere that is not found elsewhere and is different from the daily lives of tourists. The increasing interest of tourists in knowing the culture in the village is not matched by accommodating facilities. There is still a lack of space for people and artists to appreciating art and culture while educating citizens of the community, so there needs to be a cultural center that serves to appreciate works of art and culture. Pandeyan village has now developed into a village that has begun to be known for its diversity of artistic and cultural potential. An overview of the diverse potential of the village is the basis of design. This scientific paper will discuss the various potentials of the village which are used as the basis for planning a cultural center in Pandeyan Village. However, such valuable asset is neglected due to current urban planning issues specifically on the placement of residential district and land-use planning within Pasar Lama adjacent context. This might caused disintegration between the residential and the commercial areas as the objective of a city to create a sense of place– it’s also diminished the identity of Pasar Lama (Old Town Market) as a Chinatown on the banks of the Cisadane River. This research study aim to raise several questions, namely: what are the criteria for a proper residential neighborhood in the context of the waterfront area, what is the function of residential district that has its own particular identity and how does it suitable for the particular context of waterfront area in Pasar Lama (Old Town Market), and how does the concept of identity could be applied on the waterfront area, in the Tangerang’s Pasar Lama (Old Town Market). This research study based on data collected from literature studies, field observations and on-site interview. The literature study discuss the functions of identity for a residential district, waterfront area and Pasar Lama (Old Town Market). Field observation studies were carried out to examine the theory and analyze the function of residential neighborhood, building accessibility, supporting facilities for residential areas, and Pasar Lama (Old Town Market) identity.
