This is due to simplicity in implementation by noncoherent detection and robustness due noise and phase synchronization error. Hardware based design using FPGA can reduced system size. The proposed modulation integrates both the transmitter and receiver modules into a single FPGA. Further reduction in components is achieved by adopting a multiplierless and parallel algorithm at the receiver module. This is proven by comparing with conventional noncoherent detection algorithm.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. With only one terminal a user should be able to connect to different type of operators, technologies and systems. The issue is also to make the terminal staying online connected, when these changes are made. Both intrasystem handovers and intersystem handovers should be supported by such terminals. The systems will form a hierarchical cell structure, that offer the users several technologies and different type of QoS-levels and bandwidths. To analyze this type of hierarchical cell structure a model has been created, and to verify the model calculations on a Markov-chain have been made. Using the transition probabilities we have calculated the state probabilities, to verify the results from the simulations made of our model. The analytical model and the simulation shows a very good agreement. The results show that the model could be used to show how the WLAN usage will behave as the number of WLANs and WLAN users increase.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. Since general anti-virus measures depend on the countermeasures by individual users, it is difficult for the network managers to manage these viruses. We propose a novel virus extermination method which enables control of anti-virus measures at the manager level, and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulations. By using this method, the vaccine which has the infection capability that is equal to the viruses spreads the following viruses and exterminate them. Therefore, it is possible to exterminate all viruses if the network manager prepares some computers that detect and exterminate the viruses.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. It is applicable to networks using any layer 2 switching, but has particular advantages when applied to ATM networks. It integrates IP routing with ATM switching to offer scalable IP-over-ATM networks. However, supporting quality of service in these switches is an important issue that needs special attention, as it's a necessary requirement for today networks. But as MPLS combines different network technologies, to support quality of service in MPLS switches some other issues like VC merging should be considered too. In this paper, we go over supporting quality of service in MPLS switches and explore the necessary details.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. These wireless access networks have different layer 2 technologies, so it is very difficult to implement mobility management on link layer in the 3G and beyond system. But the mobility management can be realized on network layer (i.e. IP layer). In this paper the definition of NMM (Network-Layer Mobility Management) is given firstly. Then the framework of NMM for the convergence of the heterogeneous wireless networks is presented, and its structure and function model are given. Also the key technologies used in NMM are introduced. At last a test system for NMM is described.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. Prompt action by DNS server operators minimized the duration and impact of the attack, which had little effect on overall Internet performance. Intrusion detection systems are researched and developed to detect attacks from outside world since 1980. Intrusion detection systems create an alert data or log data when detect an intrusion. But Many IDS uses heterogeneous data set, so these data must be mapped to another format. IDWG in IETF proposed IDMEF. This paper designs an alert data format compatible IDMEF. The secure networking framework is consisted of SGS and CPCS. SGS acts as an intrusion detection system on edge of network ingress point, and CPCS acts as a higher-level server. SGS makes an alert data compatible IDMEF and sends it to CPCS. CPCS parses an IDMEF alert data and makes an alert object for using correlation analysis. SGS can see its area only, but CPCS can see wide network area. CPCS can detect more complex attacks as well as support integrated management through cooperating each other. In the view of alert processing we converted raw alert data to Ladon-alert data to support interoperability. We use IDMEF-compatible alert datat structure. We have designed and developed integrated IDS on gateway, and security control server on higher-level class. Then this framework offers cooperative intrusion detection, policy based controlling.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. The full-wave simulator IE3D has been employed for designing the resonators, and calculating the related coupling coefficients of each resonator pair. The proposed filter circuit has been then finally constructed. It has been found that experimental results of the filter agree very well with simulation expectation. This filter also provides an improved selectivity characteristic with narrow bandwidth and compact size compared with the conventional resonator filters.","PeriodicalId":277507,"journal":{"name":"9th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat.
