This paper deals with one cycle of steady-state voltage and current used to construct a voltage-current (V-I) trajectory. After retrieving one cycle signals of voltage and current, the Fourier phase correction technique is applied on them to avoid low accuracy or mismatch in classification d ue to the starting point selection of one period signal. Then, Triangle Area Representation (TAR) at different side lengths is introduced to describe the V-I trajectory of each electrical load appliance. Due to the very high dimensional subspace of TAR signature, it is then beneficial to use principal component analysis for creating a low-dimensional space feature. Finally, the weighted k-Nearest neighbor is employed to classify each type of appliance according to the k-Nearest number. Plug-Load Appliance Identification Dataset is applied in the assessment of the proposed algorithm which shows good performance with high accuracy of 97.43%.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121281830","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Increasing social isolation and loneliness are severe yet underappreciated public health risks, affecting people of all ages and backgrounds. Therefore, we propose to co-design a novel Television Enable Application (TEA) for healthy ageing in this study. Our co- designed AI-based television-enabled application (TEA) can adapt to home television, which is universally helpful in enabling older people and others to connect with befriending services. In this paper, we have completed an extensive literature review and propose a framework for co-designing the application with older people. We adopt an agile approach to developing TEA with iterations, inception, and elaboration, of the prototype. Additionally, a co-creation methodology and a quantitative evaluation of social isolation and loneliness will be used to improve the prototype between the inception and elaboration phases and assess the impact of TEA on social isolation and loneliness. To evaluate the effectiveness of befriending and of TEA versus traditional befriending, we propose a series of mixed two (group: traditional versus TEA) x 2(time: baseline and follow-up) ANOVAs tests will be considered for each questionnaire measure to assess if there are any statistically significant changes in scores over time, and between groups with alpha level 0.05. The developed TEA will be capable of addressing loneliness and isolation by connecting ageing people. TEA will also provide older people with a feature to communicate with care services.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115096769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we use an in-house trained deep face recognition model to extract facial features from images of old portraits to compare their degree of similarity. Taking the well-known Visual Geometry Group (VGG) deep learning model as the basis, our in-house trained model is fine-tuned for enhanced facial similarity analysis, providing particular attention to the effects from prominent parts of the face, such as the eyes, nose and mouth features. We show how this model can be efficiently utilised to evaluate faces present in age-old master portraits. More specifically, we undertake facial similarity analysis of the faces in the oil paintings of Madonna and Child of de Brécy Tondo and Sistine Madonna by Raphael, of which the former has been the subject of national and international research for nearly 40 years.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130508128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fish is a traditional staple in the Cambodian diet and vital to nutrition and food security. Due to a lack of human resources with expertise in research into detecting fish diseases, breeding, and raising technologies, most farmers are struggling to increase the productivity of fish. In this research work, an intelligent classification framework is proposed for increasing the productivity of fish farmers by providing them with a facility to detect fish diseases along with analyzing the water quality. To understand the problems faced by the local farmers, the research team visited the six fisheries farms in the Takeo Province and collected the requirements. After the identification of the key challenges, a general framework is proposed for the early detection of fish diseases. The proposed framework will help the local farmers to educate them about the fish diseases and help them to improve the fish productivity.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121711879","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper thus demonstrates a novel method to facilitate collaborative planning using long-range foresight for an organization. Using the Delphi technique, the proposed method involves the identification of key products, periods of products realization, products dependency and ranking, and the formation of a portfolio of long-horizon strategic action plans that are perceived as achievable within the time horizon of 2030. The prioritization of these actions is then investigated using an integrated Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL)-Analytic Network Process (ANP) approach.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128073517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Gait disorder having no apparent reason is associated with cardiovascular disease and gait imbalance is the major factor for fall and fall related accidents. This study puts an effort to perform quantitative measurements of spatiotemporal gait parameters for the patients of cardiovascular disease using wearable sensor and explores the clinical symptoms from gait pattern. The research is carried out on 16 Healthy controls and 53 Cardiovascular patients. The result of the analysis presented that the gait parameters of the patients are greatly varied than that of Healthy Controls (HCs) which may serve as early indication of the symptoms of cardiovascular disease. This is a new idea in analyzing walking pattern of population suffering from different disease with different age-group and sex based on the various case studies in the same domain.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"155 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127424065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This motion simulator can be used to enhance the vehicle riding experience in immersive virtual reality or telepresence. We examined herein the effectiveness of the translational motion feedback from the vestibular wheelchair when presenting recorded images with spatial motion from the stereoscopic cameras on the head-mounted display (HMD). The results of the intensity comparison with the magnitude estimation method showed that the perception of vestibular acceleration by the wheelchair was stronger than that of visually presented acceleration in the HMD. Moreover, approximately 25% intensity of the visual acceleration is appropriate for suppressing virtual reality sickness. The questionnaire results revealed that adding vestibular acceleration to the visual acceleration increases the sense of presence, regardless of the vestibular sensation intensity.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117064430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This includes a case study through a survey to demonstrate the potential risk in Cambodia as one of the developing countries. We designed the survey questionnaire considering the theme of - what are the key issues that demonstrate users are the weakest link to cybercriminals. The questionnaire covers personal digital readiness issues related to passwords, phishing, malware, backups, security control of PCs, etc. A wide range of participants from three different age groups demonstrated their understanding of cybersecurity awareness through this survey. The data collected through this survey were analyzed and presented to demonstrate the potential risks of using digital technology in the community in developing countries. It is noted that among various challenges, many users have weaknesses in considering strong and multiple passwords, which is the most important cybersecurity concern for authentication. Finally, the research outcomes provided a recommendation for developing countries, including the demand for personalized learning platforms.","PeriodicalId":277436,"journal":{"name":"2022 14th International Conference on Software, Knowledge, Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124111667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
