Questions such as the transition of genres of folklore in written literature, changes and the development of genres are studied. The article describes the ideological and artistic features of proverbs found in Mir-zo Ulugbek's work \"History of the Four Nations\" (\"Ulusi arba'i Chingizy\") and \"Shajarai Turk\" by Abulgazi Bakhadirkhan. On a scientific basis, the author's skillful use of folk tales and wise sayings are given. It is proved that folk teachings are connected with the activities of historical figures, and proverbs are told in the language of historical heroes. The ideological and artistic features and the educational value of paroemias of a preaching nature are revealed. In the genres characteristic of the paremiological type, such features as the predominance of mental cognition based on many еars of life experience of the people revealed. The socio-political changes and historical conditions that occurred in Turkestan at the beginning of the XXth century at the end of the XIXth century had the stronger impact on literature than usual. The creators of this period vividly depicted the themes of national freedom, national identity, and enlightenment in their works. This article covers the issues of historical conditions, influence of socio – political factors, which played an important role in the development of the process of Uzbek literature – intensive literature of the beginning of the XXth century. The Manifesto adopted by the tsarist government in 1905 and its importance and essence are discussed based on the sources. Press and printing works in Turkestan were stopped. One of such source is the historical and biographical work “al-Qand fi dhikr ‘ulama’ Samarqand\" (“Sweet in the Knowledge of Samarqand Scholars”) in Arabic by the famous Central Asian scholar-ency-clopedist Najm al-Din Abu Hafs ‘Umar ibn Muhammad al-Nasafi al-Maturi-di (460-537/1068-1142). Abu Hafs al-Nasafi was a resident of Samarqand and knew his hometown well. This is influ-enced by the period in which the work was created and the events in which the work is described, as well as intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors. The lexics of the work “Mekhrobdan chayon” includes lexical units that re-flect the socio-political, economic, cultural, educational and daily concepts of the late nineteenth century, the period of the Jadids, the twentieth cen-tury. The article analyzes the reasoning of Alish-erNavoi about homonyms. Methods of homonyms formation, active trac-ing of the semantic method in the Turkic languages is noted. Art based on homonyms, art of tajnis, art and homa in the illumination of thinking are shown. The genre of Tuyuk, referred to as a \"kind of Ashari” of the Turkic peoples, is based on its direct connection with linguistic consciousness, thinking, perception. The role of texts, works of art with the participation of homonyms in the development of speech, the importance in the educa-tion of thinking is highlighted. The use of homonyms as one of the ways in which homonyms are spread is demonstrated in the principles for creating an excellent annotat-ed dictionary of homonyms. Tasks are given for the formation of a dictio-nary of homonyms.
