Through formation of FPCs farmers will have better collective strength for better access to quality input, technology, credit and better marketing access through economies of scale for better realization of income. Therefore, during lockdown period online study was under taken to measure knowledge level of KVK Subject Matter Specialist (Extension Education), KVK SMS of other disciplines, stake holders from NABARD and ATMA (MACP). Knowledge test was administered to the 65 respondent in the Google form, which has reduced influence of interviewers and ease of filling the interview schedule. A total 65 respondents were selected and a knowledge test consisting of 17 dimensions was prepared to measure their knowledge level. The study revealed that majority of the respondents had awareness regarding farmers producer company’s profit sharing, followed by company registration under companies act, information about ownership and management as a share holders and priority sector for formation of farmers producer company’s. It is also found that respondent had poor knowledge about processing, marketing, branding of produce by FPC, benefits of formation of FPCs, followed by implanting agencies for FPCs and financial sustainability of FPCs. Categorization of respondents based on their knowledge level indicate that majority of respondent were in high level of knowledge i.e. 41.53 per cent respondent have high level of knowledge followed by 32.30 per cent in medium level while 26.15 per cent low level of knowledge category. In order to enhance farmers income and empowers small and marginal farmers promotions of farmers producer company has intervention for agril. entrepreneurship development.","PeriodicalId":276302,"journal":{"name":"Agriculture Update","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133857504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The soil of operational area is Kabar, having low fertility status. The wilt tolerant cultivars DPL-62, K-75 and PL- 406 were tested with local variety, which is popularized among the farming majority. The cultivars were planted in the first fortnight of November and harvested after 128 DAS in the second fortnight of March. The highest average yield of lentil was recorded in cultivar DRL-62 by 15.75 q/ha, which lowest average seed yield of 13.00 q/ha was recorded in local check, varieties K-75 and PL-406 produced grain yield by 14.75 q/ha and 14.00 q/ha, respectively. The yield contributing character were concordance to grain yield of lentil. The maximum BCR 1:2.36 was calculated with cultivar DPL-62 closely followed by K-75 (1:2.14). The minimum BCR noted under local check.","PeriodicalId":276302,"journal":{"name":"Agriculture Update","volume":"41 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121000015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In agriculture and allied sectors the agripreneur adopting innovative ideas. The purpose of this study is to promote agripreneurship in plantation sector through interdisciplinary approach. Plantation crops are high value crops and any breakthrough in translation of relevant rural innovation into agripreneurship can have a greater economic impact. The experts from different domains interacted with the rural innovators about Farmer Led Innovations (FLIs). They were found more than hundred FLIs in plantation sector out of which few FLIs have been identified based on Innovation Index for translating FLIs into agripreneurship. The selected FLIs are viz., tree climber (Device to climb coconut and arecanut tree), multi tree climber, arecanut tree climber, tree walker and automated arecanut climbing and harvesting machine. The outcome of the study has given leverage technological strength to showcase successful FLIs and successful agri-business models across the country.","PeriodicalId":276302,"journal":{"name":"Agriculture Update","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127170139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Out of these blocks Sehore block was selected due to maximum area covered under vegetable cultivated area. These are 304 villages in Sehore block, out of these 10 villages were selected purposively on the basis of maximum area covered under vegetable cultivation for the study. 12 vegetable growers were selected from each village.
