However the attenuation and delay associated with the acoustic channel limits the range and data rate supported. Channel simulators are required to support the deployment of expensive experimental setup which relies on the characterization of the underwater acoustic channel. Acoustic communication is suitable at low frequency. Since the available bandwidth is less, higher order modulation techniques such as OFDM are employed. Inherent motion of the system poses stringent limitation on the synchronization issues. Thus modeling of multipath propagation especially Doppler Effect plays an important role.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126362043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A common phenomenon in natural sentence-based customer reviews is that people generally do not express their opinions in a simple way such as \"This Smartphone is good\", but present them using features of the product such as \"the battery life of this Smartphone is too short\". The main purpose of this paper is to search for opinions about features of a target product from a collection of customer review data. Genetic algorithm analyses the opinion sentences and determines the orientations of the opinions also provide an exact summary to the user. This algorithm is used to categorize the user opinions into positive, negative and neutral classes and the categorization of text is called polarity of text.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123845684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several methods requires installing dedicated hardware in vehicle which are expensive. so we have designed a Smart-phone based method which uses a Accelerometer and GPS sensors to analyze the road conditions. The designed system is called as Bumps Detection System(BDS) which uses Accelerometer for pothole detection and GPS for plotting the location of potholes on Google Map. Drivers will be informed in advance about count of potholes on road. we have assumed some threshold values on z-axis(Experimentally Derived)while designing the system. To justify these threshold values we have used a machine learning approach. The k means clustering algorithm is applied on the training data to build a model. Random forest classifier is used to evaluate this model on the test data for better prediction.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131287750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Machine learning techniques have been widely used in drug discovery and development, particularly in the areas of chemo-informatics, bioinformatics and other types of pharmaceutical research. It has been demonstrated that they are suitable for large high dimensional data, and the models built with these methods can be used for robust external predictions. This paper discusses on how the machine learning techniques, especially Support Vector Machines, are going to be applied on the data sets with the help of graph kernels. While doing so they target their already existing customers who are the ambassadors of their company. To address the existing customers, they maintain the detailed customer data at all levels as customer maser data [9]. In this paper, we have built a prediction model to identify the customers who would most likely respond to the prospective offerings of the company basing on their past purchasing trends. Experiments have been conducted using the well known classifiers, viz., Naïve Bayes, KNN and SVM to classify a bank customer data. Therefore, collaborative e-learning has emerged as a new educational form in both teaching and learning. In institutions, the traditional web based e-learning mode models lack the underlying infrastructure that are highly scalable and can dynamically allocate the required computation and storage resources. Also building and maintenance are located onsite which causes a lot of problems for institutions. However technologies like Web 2.0 and cloud computing have helped to build a more successful and reliable educational environment and will greatly influence how future e-leaning applications are developed and deployed.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133351090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also importing electricity is expensive from load centers which are located far away. Electricity is generated using distributed generators locally and using this electricity is more economical as to solve the increasing energy demand to a certain extent. For a complete day different sources of generation like Combined Heat Power, wind and utility are considered for the study. The first method discussed in this paper is Simple Additive Weighting; second method is Weighted Product and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). These methods are applied to a set of generation data of a particular day to obtain the optimal generation. In order to verify the weights' assigned to different attributes the method used is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The obtained results by these multi-criteria decision making techniques applied to a set of data for a complete day helps in identifying the optimal generation.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133888743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hand success rate (HOSR) improvement is an important optimization activity of a GSM network (NW). Cellular operators adapt different approaches like locations area updates at cell boundaries and optimization of adjacencies, threshold parameters etc. for HOSR improvement. Cellular operators don't consider network synchronization as an important issue for call handover success rate. This article presents an investigation and analysis carried out on a live BSC (Base station controller) of a TDM GSM network in India deployed in Madhya Pradesh state to demonstrate how frequency drift of a BSC, resulting from poor synchronization can degrade HOSR. This article also presents the correlation between DAC word value (frequency drift) of a BSC and HOSR, and how DAC word value analysis can be used to assess HOSR degradation. In addition various methods for the performance evaluation of synchronization network, like clock quality, synchronization failure alarms, and clock frequency drift etc. and different issues and requirements with regard to synchronization of cellular network are presented.","PeriodicalId":276158,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Applied and Theoretical Computing and Communication Technology (iCATccT)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114635312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
