The carrier, which is driven by a DC motor, automatically travels hanging from a rail attached under the beam of greenhouses. The carrier is moved manually to the next span rail by a cart which moves while hanging from the hanger-rail. A power sprayer and spraying hose, which the farmer owns, can be attached to the carrier ; one carrier can be utilized in all greenhouses the farmer may manage. Sprayer field capacity was about 2.5 times that of manual spraying using a power sprayer.
