This only occurs when the students can understand the physical and social factors in constant interaction. This paper investigated the space that is given to the contents of Physical Geography in the books of Basic Education, adopted in public and private schools in the city of Belo Horizonte / MG. Therefore, it was necessary to select some books used by schools that are representative in the county. Next, we performed the page count for the Physical and Human Geography topics and their interaction, including cartography. We tried to even check if there might be some relationship between the academic background of the authors and their preferences for certain issues in the production of textbooks, especially those allocated little space in your materials to Physical Geography. It was found that with this research in geography textbooks used in Belo Horizonte, the content related to Human Geography prevail over the others. Thus, it was realized that the dynamics of nature are not very representative in textbooks, and present themselves separate from the socioeconomic aspects.
