Tourism is an important way to promote economic growth and cultural dissemination as it brings hope to revive traditional villages and local cultures. We explored the role of cultural heritage tourism in the process of cultural dissemination that affects cultural kernel. We conducted a case study of Xunpu Village and obtained textual data through field study and interviews. The results showed that in the process of developing cultural heritage tourism, the traditional culture transmitted outward from Xunpu Village has experienced alienation and absence. The importance of cultural heritage tourism is based on cultural authenticity, but the loss of cultural authenticity in the development of Xunpu Village is not conducive to the development of sustainable tourism and the long-term well-being of the residents.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"8 29","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141684590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the era of emotional consumption and within contemporary consumer culture, elements of musical imagery have become intricately entwined with product design, providing consumers with deeper visual and emotional experiences. We explored consumers’ cognitions and preferences concerning the integration of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators into the attributes of music-related imagery products. The Attractiveness Ergonomics IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) and IRPA (Importance-Relative Performance Analysis) methods were used to evaluate attractiveness and impact on consumer satisfaction. The results showed how music-related imagery products integrate art, culture, and social responsibility to attain a more profound influence. They also unveiled product design elements such as “visual aesthetics” and “color selection” to attract consumers. Additionally, the significance of incorporating SDG indicators into the design of music-related imagery products was found to increase social responsibility and sustainable development. The study’s outcomes allow for a deeper understanding of consumers’ preferences and requirements concerning the design attributes with SDG indicators in music-related imagery products. Valuable insights for the design and marketing of such products propel the application and dissemination of sustainable development goals within the realm of music.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"28 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140969403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has impacted the design and planning of commercial spaces. Commercial spaces, serving as the direct interface with consumers, have played a more pivotal role recently. Consumer viewpoints and demands have been changed beyond comfort and convenience to mitigate concerns related to sustainable development and health. From the consumer perspective, we explored the key factors for the sustainable design of commercial spaces in the post-pandemic era. Kansei engineering, factor analysis, and the Kano model were used to identify dimensions, namely safety and comfort, community engagement and sustainability, environmental conservation and resource efficiency, as well as technological integration and waste management. Consumers expect commercial spaces to provide safety measures, adequate ventilation, hygiene and cleanliness, green landscapes, personalized services, and social distancing arrangements to create a pleasant and secure environment. Additionally, they are concerned about whether commercial spaces actively engage with the community, promote sustainable development, and prioritize energy efficiency. The result contributes to the optimization and sustainable development of commercial spaces. By comprehending consumer perspectives, companies can overcome the challenges of the post-pandemic era, innovate in the design of commercial spaces, and create business environments that are more appealing and aligned with consumer expectations.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"27 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140967250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taiwan has the largest religious population in the world, and the ritual culture, especially in Minnan, hinders carbon reduction and impacts the environment negatively. In previous studies, the temple's carbon-reducing behaviors have not been dealt with seriously. Thus, we explored the relationship between the public and the temple's carbon-reducing behaviors under internal and external pressure using institutional theory to understand the public recognition of reducing the use of incense, gold paper burning, and firecrackers. We conducted an integrated analysis of the public's perception of climate change and carbon reduction behavior of temples using institutional theory, a strategy model. The results provide a basis for decision-making and suggestions for government agencies, academics, and companies in environmental protection and can be used to enhance the awareness of environmental protection caring for nature, and sustainable development in Taiwan.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"9 9","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140378710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, we investigated how the atmospheric design of such spaces responds to and fulfills consumers’ multidimensional evaluations, encompassing their psychological, emotional, and social needs. The findings underscored the significant appeal of “emotional healing” and “emotional companionship” to consumers. The factor analysis result delineated two major dimensions, “emotion and space” and “environmental aesthetics”, reflecting that consumers, besides seeking emotional satisfaction, placed a high value on the cultural and aesthetic experience of the space. Through the Kano model and regression analysis, “emotional healing” and “independent space” were confirmed as pivotal factors in the atmospheric design of light food and beverage spaces. To cater to the innermost needs of urban consumers, in the atmospheric design of such spaces, dimensions including psychological, emotional, and environmental aesthetics must be strategically integrated.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139331889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research on hand-grip perception provided a further understanding of consumers’ emotional response to products, which is a key factor influencing consumers’ decision to purchase. 35 perceptual adjectives for touch were screened, and then based on the tactile sensory vocabulary, a remote control grip sample screening experiment was conducted. The semantic difference analysis was conducted using perceptual adjective vocabulary, and the measurement results were used to design a new remote control shape and compare the hand-held tactile feeling with commercially available remote controls. The touch and emotion were used for the best remote control grip design. The hand-held tactile remote control was a new type of hand-held remote controller that provided users with a new way of interacting with the environment and emotions based on the tactile feeling of the hand. For more than ten years, user experience (UX) has been used to describe the emotions and reactions of users when using products in usage environments. In this study, 20 men and women participated in experiments according. The results showed that the newly designed remote control was appropriate for one-handed operation and the most comfortable tactile sensations. Tactile performance was better than that of commercially available products. By comparing the improvement rates of products, designers can obtain a better reference for modifying product details or making design decisions from the result of this study.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"75 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139367494","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are different levels of consideration of the circular economy from the selection of raw materials to the production process of products and the final recycling. Therefore, it is required to further explore and analyze how and when companies better create and how they value sustainable products. Therefore, this research was carried out to understand the company's design thinking model for product sustainability and find out the relevant vital elements. After completing the expert interview, grounded theory was used to analyze the collected data by grouping them into the categories of \"open coding\", \"axis coding\" and \"selective coding\". The results allowed the understanding of all aspects of sustainable product design development such as the current environment, design methods, operations management, loop feedback, and future-looking projects. At the same time, a feasible business model with a sustainable product cycle design was discussed. Based on the result and discussion, suggestions and opinions were made for the practical circular design of enterprises, the direction of the design and necessary considerations, and the implementation of the design as references for sustainable product development of the industry.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117280125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taiwan has many cultural characteristics that are different from European and American cultural design. There is an opportunity for Taiwan to combine cultural inspiration and creative development and transformation through creative industries. Temples are close to the daily life of many people with local characteristics in Taiwan as places where the Taiwanese retain a rich cultural atmosphere. The development of the cultural and creative concepts of such cultural elements influences the marketing design, development, and production of various god themes, and the development of the industrialization of religious beliefs. However, the localized design must not be a copy or imitation of traditional patterns allowing the culture to be translated and interpreted with traditional vocabulary and novel language, nor be superficial. Thus, this research is conducted for glazed products in the cultural and creative industries combined with Taiwan's unique cultural elements to discuss the characteristics brought by Taiwan's temple culture and apply them to the glass design of cultural marketing.","PeriodicalId":272767,"journal":{"name":"Innovation on Design and Culture","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124756469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
