The building could be a flexibility supplier for the energy system; also the large thermal mass of the building is ideal energy storage. Simulating such systems requires precise data and synchronization of continuous changes and discrete transitions. However, in the first design steps, missing information forbids numerical simulation. We present here a new qualitative language for qualitative simulation of cyber physical systems, which consists in computing the relationships between the system variables. This language is implemented in the Diversity symbolic execution engine to build the traces of the system. A report from the Energy Information Administration indicates that approximately 98% of CO2 emissions can be attributed to energy consumption. The trade-off between efficient and ecologically sound operation represents a major challenge faced by many organizations at present. In addition, numerous companies are currently compelled to pay a carbon tax for the resources they use and the environmental impact of their products and services. Therefore, an energy consumption system can generate actual financial payback. Green information technology involves various approaches, including power management, recycling, telecommunications, and virtualization. This paper focuses on comparing and evaluating techniques used for reducing energy consumption in virtualized environments. We first highlight the impact of virtualization techniques on minimizing energy consumption in cloud computing. Then we present an experimental comparative study between two common energy-efficient task scheduling algorithms in cloud computing (i.e., the green scheduler, the power saver scheduler). These algorithms are discussed briefly and analyzed. The three metrics used to evaluate the task scheduling algorithms are (1) total power consumption, (2) data center load, and (3) virtual machine load. Functions like robot motion planning or object recognition are provided by cloud services. A crucial architectural aspect is the granularity, i.e. the scope and size of individual services. In our case study, we examine a service-based object recognition application for a robotic assembly use case. We implement three different granularity levels, measure their communication and computation times and discuss further architectural features. The fine-granular approach encapsulates individual image processing operations as services, which have high reusability but impose large communication overheads. The medium granularity approach is object-wise and offers best reuse efficiency and cohesion. Hearing loss will affect a person's hearing quality to hear low volume or intensity. There is an Audiometry Test to check one's hearing quality whether it is still above or below the normal hearing threshold. It utilizes a special tool and is very useful for detecting a person's hearing loss early. The test's procedure is to play a tone that has a different frequency and intensity. Advancement of mobile technology makes a possibility to provide Audiometric Test on a smartphone device. This method will provide a convenience and an access rights for anyone to know early if they have hearing impairment without the needs of special devices. To find out the possibilities, we made an application by designing and testing 3 different smartphones and 4 pairs of earphones. The experimental results were tested using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test to test the stability of mobile applications when using smartphones and earphones from different factories. Statistical tests are conducted to find the type of hardware that is suitable for use in a mobile application. This is done based on the availability of the hardware during the study. The sample was carried out on 30 people using convenience sampling method through Test Audiometry of mobile application. The procedure used on application of Audiometric Test comes from Mayfield Clinic standard. The results prove that the Test Audiometry application on mobile devices can run according to standard procedures. The testing results proved that the application can run as a simulation of an audiometry test. For hydraulic actuator of different design schemes, the design based on bi-directional gear pump is selected based on prototype test, reliability and maintainability. Of the 2225 actuators, 2075 are designed to meet maximal load of 7 tons, 140 of load 10 tons, and 10 of load 15 tons. In operation of observation, for each of the time ticks(Interval 500ms), the piston position precision of the hydraulic actuator is controlled to be better than 0.25mm, which is over ten times better than the typical node precision requirement of the active reflector. Each of the actuator is physically connected to the control room by optical cable for transmission of control commands and actuator status. Each of the actuators is further designed to meet the shield effect requirement for the radio telescope. In this paper, we proposed a method for parsing OPC UA binary content and a novel two-phase approach for extracting features from OPC UA. The developed method is able to parse OPC UA content sequentially and to transfer data in a structured way. For extracting features from the payload based on a new string representation, an algorithm extracts all numbers from strings and processes them separately to the letters in the first phase. The used regular expression replaces all integers and floating-point numbers with a special character. In case of not identical strings, the representation is done by an ASCII-distribution as well as an edit-distance in the second phase. On the one hand this approach documented how OPC UA data is parsed and how to use the data in subsequent steps to run analyses. For this purpose, a Raspberry Pi is used as a gateway between a Siemens S7-400 PLC and the Amazon Web Services. The gateway has two main roles: OPC UA client and MQTT publisher. The PLC sends data to the gateway via OPC UA and the gateway transfers it to the cloud via MQTT publish-subscribe application protocol. The data is stored in the cloud-based database DynamoDB. As a result, with this rapid prototype, it is possible to gather and save data from the field that can be used for diagnosis, analysis, and predictive maintenance purposes.
