The scheme is robust to wavelength drifts up to 10 GHz. Further investigation is needed to better identify its limitations. Analytical extensions and improvements are likely to be possible. On the other hand, validation so far seems to indicate that it already captures the main features of non-linear propagation in UT systems. The GN-model could provide an effective tool for the analysis and design of UT coherent systems.
