In modern sensor era, Optical Sensors (OS), Microelectronic Mechanical Systems (MEMS) and Bio-Sensors are important sensing techniques for different water quality parameter detection. Furthermore, these sensors are highly selective, sensitive, economical and user-friendly with quick response. This paper comprehensively reviews and discuss role of emerging techniques in detection of important water quality parameters i.e Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, pH, E-Coli, Effective chlorination, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D) and fluoride. In addition, also explains why modern water quality parameters sensing techniques are preferable option for detection of above mentioned parameters. Information overload is one of the major problems which require algorithms and tools for faster access. Electronic documents are one of the major sources of information for business and academic information. In order to fully utilizing these on-line documents effectively, it is crucial to be able to extract the summary of these documents. Summarization system will be one of the solutions to the above problem. This project proposes a summarizer system which will be able to perform summarization of multiple documents. The input text documents are analyzed through a parser which parses the input documents and generates parse tree for each sentence. RDF triples are extracted from each sentence by analyzing the typed dependencies generated from the parser in the form of subject, verb and object. Semantic distance is computed between each pair of sentences and a matrix containing the semantic distance for sentences are computed. The measure adopted to compute semantic distance is Wu and Palmer distance. A clustering algorithm is applied to the extracted subject, verb and object space and the extracted RDF triples are grouped into clusters. It's not easy for the disabled and elderly people to maneuver a mechanical wheelchair, which many of them normally use for locomotion. Hence there is a need for designing a wheelchair that is intelligent and provides easy maneuverability. In this context, an attempt has been made to propose a thought controlled wheelchair, which uses the captured signals from the brain and eyes and processes it to control the wheelchair. Medical imaging is an important diagnosis instrument to determine the presence of certain diseases. Therefore increasing the image resolution should significantly improve the diagnosis ability for corrective treatment. Furthermore, a better resolution may substantially improve automatic detection and image segmentation results. The arrival of digital medical imaging technologies such as Computerized Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) etc. has revolutionized modern medicine. Despite the advances in acquisition technology and the performance of optimized reconstruction algorithms over the two last decades, it is not easy to obtain an image at a desired resolution due to imaging environments, the limitations of physical imaging systems as well as quality-limiting factors such as Noise and Blur. A solution to this problem is the use of Super Resolution (SR) techniques which can be used for processing of such images. Various methods have been described over the years to generate and form algorithms which can be used for building on this concept of Super resolution. Technology that allows applications to share local resources through a remote service is one of the latest breakthroughs in the world of communication. We aim to develop an environment through which mobile phone users can experience the use of such technology. All smart phones with Android OS incorporate touch screens. Such phones utilize their screens to display and manipulate information conveniently. By making the screen of one mobile user available to other mobile users, the interaction between two mobile users can be taken to a whole new level. Sunlight available freely as a direct and perennial source of energy provides a non-polluting reservoir of fuel. The simplest and the most efficient ways to utilize solar energy are to convert it into thermal energy for heating applications by using solar collectors. The thermal efficiency of solar air heaters in comparison of solar water heaters has been found to be generally poor because of their inherently low heat transfer capability between the absorber plate and air. Various methods to improve heat transfer in thermal system have been developed extensively. The majority of commercially available enhancement techniques are passive ones. The use of artificial roughness on a surface is an effective technique to enhance heat transfer to fluid flowing in ducts. In this research work, a new technique of heat transfer enhancement is proposed, which contains an artificial roughness in the form of multi arc shape ribs with gap on the inner side surface of the absorber plate. The artificial roughness on the absorber plates having three different pitch ratios (15, 20 and 25). The heat transfer enhancement with newly designed artificial roughness is compared with smooth absorber plate. The maximum heat transfer enhancement is observed for the Relative Roughness Pitch (P/e) of 15 and 51% increase in heat transfer with respect to smooth plate on account of increase in friction factor of 40%. Several attributes are needed to be taken into consideration. The existing phishing detection systems are time consuming & heavily rely on the backend database available. In this proposed system, main focus is on retrieving the necessary attributes in real time using Hadoop-MapReduce, which will help us increase both speed & throughput of the system. It has been long recognized that heat transfer characteristic of helical tubes are much better than that of straight ones because of the occurrence of secondary fluid flow in planes normal to the main flow inside the helical structure. In the present study an experimental investigation of heat transfer in cone shaped helical coil heat exchanger is reported for various Reynolds number. The purpose of this study is to design and fabricate a non-previously implemented shell and cone shaped helical coil and fitted with a twin cylinder diesel engine to recover waste heat from the exhaust gas to heat water. A “C” program was developed for the easiness of the design and an AutoCAD model of the design was made. For the fabrication of the coil, copper tubes were used. To evaluate the designed value various temperatures have taken for various mass flow rate of the water. The results show that the design value are having a good agreement with the experimentally obtained value. Agriculture is the main occupation in India. Development of any country is dependent on the healthy status of farmers. Farmer is suffering from various problems mainly due to the lack of unity among farmers and no union to support farmers. Technology is not reaching the farmers directly. This paper discusses an innovative solution which proposes the joint effort of Non Government social Organization and Engineers, to help farmers and ease the task of Government and avoid losses occurring due to mismanagement. This idea suggests that, initially a data network has to be created to link each farmer's data of each village to all Talukas, Each Taluk to Districts and to state. This is carried out by software projects using DBMS and VB.Net. Projects are the part of engineering curriculum and societal need based projects help in enhancement of learning. A Non-Government Organization manages to collect the information about each farmer's requirement such as seeds, fertilizers and manures. This information is passed to manufacturers and with the assistance and co-operation of Government and concerned banks, materials will be supplied to NGO who in-turn manages to supply to each village farmers. Similarly, at the harvest time, crop yield estimation of each village is done through the network. This information is provided to large buyers and exporters, through NGO and money transaction is again through NGO to each farmer. It is estimated that by this supply chain management farmer will get his market at his door steps. Precision agriculture information is stored in the database. Farmer can get the timely suggestions and assistance at village level NGO only through the software.
